So I guess I missed my anniversary last week. On October.21st Highway 6 Express had it's 2 year anniversary. In 2018 on October.21st I made my first trip from Thompson to Winnipeg with my little 15 seater bus. For the first year I ran my business straight out of that bus with no depots in either city, doing all door to door service. It was tough but I made it work. Over the last year I have been able to accumulate a couple more trucks, trailers, and a piece of property in Tho...mpson to give Highway 6 Express a home. Hi everyone. Just a little up date on the passenger service side of things for Highway 6 Express. As of September 3rd we stopped taking passengers North from Winnipeg and have only been doing freight from the south. We have still been taking passengers from Thompson to Winnipeg but it looks like we will be shutting down all passenger side of things for the next little while. We need to keep covid out of Thompson and keep everyone safe and keep all our businesses open, do your... part please. I am still doing weekend runs for freight only, leaving Thompson every Friday and leaving Winnipeg every Sunday. We do have our courier guy in the city that can pick up in the city Monday to Friday till 5:00 p.m., your item/s will be stored in the warehouse till I make my trip North, every Sunday. Hey Thompson! Highway 6 Express is cleaning up the town! We have started a new service for the apartment blocks of Thompson and whoever else needs it. Do you have large items next to your dumpster? Mattresses, couches, items that the city can't take? Well we are here to take care of it for you. 2 guys and a truck, to go around town and get rid of all the eye sores that are bothering everyone. We have been working with Allied apartments the last week, cleaning up the large i...tems, as well as a quick clean up of loose garbage around the bins. Highway 6 Express update, please read: We are back to our weekend runs and going to keep this schedule for a little while. I will be running my shop in Thompson, from Monday to Thursday - 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., while doing local work in and around the Thompson area on these days. We do appliance removal, repair, and sell used appliances, you can also order all your appliance parts through us. Steven Crooks, owner of Thompson-based Highway 6 Express, said his company is so small he didn't have to lay anyone off when he stopped taking passengers becaus...e of COVID-19 social-distancing requirements. "I'm the only one here," Crooks said. "I stopped taking passengers on March 15 because my vehicle is too small if one person had (the virus) everyone will have it. But I take cargo and I've been picking up groceries for people in Winnipeg. I drive back and forth by myself. "I'm able to keep afloat and survive right now." Well done, Steven Crooks!

Nope, not going in that line up. To my dear friends and customers of the north. Here is the reason I can't stop at Costco for you. Not only is it going to take up to much time, I really don't want to be around that many people at this time, if I can avoid it. This is why we need longer hours, not shorter for grocery stores. Anyway, check out this line up! As soon as I enter the parking lot there is about 200 people to the right along the Costco wall, then it starts where you see the video, wild.

Hello dear friends and customers. I guess I should give an update on service with everything surrounding the Covid-19. Highway 6 Express has been somewhat closed the last two weeks. I have not taken any passenger service for the last two weeks, and my shop in Thompson is closed. You can meet me there if you make an appointment, or just give me a heads up though. Please only people feeling healthy and are not experiencing any flu like symptoms. I am still doing some freight s...ervice between Winnipeg and Thompson but my schedule is reduced. I will be leaving Winnipeg to Thompson tomorrow, Thursday April.2nd. Leaving Thompson a week later. I am available for some moving services and delivery service while in Thompson. I have been quarantining when not picking up freight, I pretty much make one little run a day for pick ups and then back home. I have gloves, sanitizer, and masks that I wear. I do the best I can, and keep as clean as I can, while trying to survive through this.
