Three years ago we delivered THIS 2017 Tesla Model X, Toronto to Phoenix Arizona. And now we are relocating it once again - for the forth year in a row. Happy, repeat, snowbird customers (like the owner of this car) are the driving engine of the HitTheRoad.ca Canada / USA vehicle relocation operation. ... There has been a lot of confusion about the Canada / US border. Many falsely understand that cars cannot be driven across the border. That's not how it works. Personal trips are forbidden at the land border. Commercial travel and transportation is ongoing. When we send car and driver to the US, we cross in the Truck lane, as a commercial entry. It's quite the experience for first time drivers. That's how this Tesla is relocating - business as usual (plus all COVID health and safety precautions!). Many people have told use they are waiting until TODAY to decide any US travel plans. And rightly so. Staying home is the right choice for many. We look forward to working with you once COVID19 is behind us.. But, if vehicle relocation is your interest, we are still hitting the road safely. http://HitTheRoad.ca

THIS CAR WAS JUST DRIVEN FROM CANADA TO THE USA. Canadians can travel to the USA. There's quite a lot of misunderstanding about the Canada / US border right now. We are answering the same questions repeatedly. ... The border really cannot be described as "closed." There are restrictions, ONLY at land crossings and only regarding "non-essential travel." This is mostly interpreted as personal travel. Travel such as the commercial relocation of vehicles is ongoing. Neither border restrictions nor quarantine rules apply to commercial travel. When we relocate a car, Canada to/from the USA, we pre-process the trip as a Commercial Entry. The cars drive into the truck lane. Customs filings and paperwork is all pre-processed. Safety first, of course, following all health and safety precautions. THE BIG QUESTION: Would YOU drive to the USA right now? (There's a reason we're asking)

Canadiana on a HitTheRoad.ca vehicle relocation roadtrip There's so many reasons to drive the Trans-Canada Highway. Driving it for free with HitTheRoad.ca is only just one. Another, perhaps unconsidered one, is simply to revel in all things Canadian. And that's exactly what a pair of adventurous travellers did recently. And from the blog post, it looks like they had a lot of fun! ... Check it out! :) http://www.delafrijoles.com/2020/09/canadiana/ Who recognizes the scene here?

From a recent cross Canada vehicle relocation road trip IG: rebeccalynnmatheson can't stop jumping for joy! Why should she? Driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara across the trans-Canada highway, for free PLUS full fuel paid? THAT is a deal worth at least one jump for joy. The cross Canada vehicle relocation season was kinda slow in 2020. Fewer people travelling, because, you know. But, taking all health and safety precautions seriously, there are still a few trips left this s...eason. Do you know someone ready to safely drive across Canada? Happy Canada Day! How does HitTheRoad.ca celebrate Canada Day? By connecting a working holiday visitor (and safe driver) with a Canadians car. A car that's needed on the other side of this giant land mass. What we lack in transportation infrastructure we make up for in trusting your fellow human being.... And VOILA - a free Trans-Canada Highway roadtrip. A Toyota Corolla hits the road TODAY. Canadians welcome newcomers. It's a thing we do. We even offer them our own cars to drive. Trust > Fear. Need even more reason to love Canada? HitTheRoad.ca! Canada has a lot to experience. Celebrate Canada by promising you'll get to that. We can help! Share your Canada travel plans (HTR or other) in the comments! https://instagram.com/st/hittheroad.ca/2343725963445107547

The Green Book "There will be a day sometime in the near future when this guide will not have to be published. That is when we as a race will have equal rights and privileges in the United States" - Victor Hugo Green (1892-1960)... Many people think of travel as an easy leisure activity. That hasn't always been the case for everyone. It's a privilege even today. Black American Travel Writer Victor Hugo Green wrote and published The Green Book. It was a very early travel guide, published long before the likes of the Lonely Planet. The Negro Motorist Green Book provided African-American travellers, many fleeing systemic racism, safe passage on a US roadtrip. The travel guide also included locales in Canada. Experienced roadtrippers will recognize some of the sites referenced. There are the "sunset cities" that banished non-whites after sundown. These practices of legal and extralegal white supremacy were halted only after the hard work of the predecessors of #BlackLivesMatter activism. The wheels are still turning on this roadtrip. "Travel is fatal to prejudice." - Mark Twain The Negro Motorist Green Book and Route 66, US National Park Service Video https://ncptt.nps.gov/rt66/green-book-video-transcription/ The Green Book, Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Negro_Motorist_Green_Book Victor Hugo Green, Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Hugo_Green

Driving one way, flying the other, is about to look a whole lot better! Toronto Star: Why flying is about to get a lot more expensive for good The option of flying one way, while driving to or from your destination, is one of the great benefits of a HitTheRoad.ca vehicle relocation.... It's cheaper. But, it's also just easier and more fun. You can do more on a tight schedule. And, for many, driving one way is really enough driving. Historically, many HitTheRoad.ca trips even paid for some or all of that return flight. Part road trip, part beach holiday was a common Snowbird vehicle delivery. Air Travel has been hard hit by COVID19. We can relate. That might continue into the post-covid world. HitTheRoad.ca has always been about saving money while travelling. We might be saving you lots more money in future! https://www.thestar.com//why-flying-is-about-to-get-a-lot-
