True story. Took the dog for a walk.....climbed up a hill and lost one of my yak trax.....bent down to get it out of the snow.....dog jumped on me and we rolled down the hill. Soooo let’s talk about the biggest elephant ever in the room named Covid-19. We have been working so hard to prepare for the 2020 season while keeping the health and safety of our guests and staff as our top priority. We are lucky enough to have over 90 acres of space and fresh air here at Hockley Valley Farm, but have had to make some changes. All visitors will be required to wear face coverings in our store, on the wagons and in the precut tree area. ... We will have hand sanitizer available in many areas of the farm for all staff and visitors and we will be sanitizing high-touch areas/items frequently. Physical distancing must occur during your visit We encourage visitors to use their own washroom before coming to the farm. We encourage all visitors cutting a tree to hike out to our tree grove instead of taking the tractor. We will provide ribbon for you to tie on to your chosen tree and our wagon will bring it back to be wrapped for you. Our hot chocolate bar is unavailable this year. Shannon’s Sweets will be serving complimentary hot chocolate provided by our farm (as well as many other goodies!!) outside our store. We encourage you to enjoy this at the end of your visit when heading to your vehicle We will have a fire-no chairs, no marshmallows and only one group at a time. This will be enforced Please limit handling of items in the store unless you intend to purchase. Children must be supervised at ALL times. We encourage visitors to bring their own saws Parking lot pick up and delivery of trees is available To avoid any possible crowds, we encourage you to come during the week If you are not feeling well, please schedule your visit another time If you have any questions or concerns, please go to our website and send us a message. As many of you have heard, Christmas Tree Farms across the country have had unprecedented tree sales early in the season this year. This has resulted in our farm selling our entire season of trees in just a few weeks. We understand that many of you are disappointed, but, in order to ensure we have trees for years to come, we cannot allow our groves to stay open and have had to close the farm for the 2020 season. Our store will be open today 5pm-6pm and tomorrow 12pm-2pm fo...r anyone wishing to purchase from our featured artisans.
