It’s me! Today was the best day ever! Brush breeze never felt so good

We’ve been picking away at the girls room behind the scenes and I just love every single thing about it! I’ve been wanting to put these @ikeacanada picture frame leaning shelves behind the kids bedroom doors for as long as I can remember! I’m still planning to do elliotts room but his I want to go from ceiling to floor ... It is such a good use of an unusable space and they can stay there forever! When the kids don’t have as many book they can use them to host photo frames or comic books or whatever they’re into at the time. Plus it’s super affordable at $14.99 a shelf! (and I think that’s for the larger shelf, but don’t quote me) Anywhoo, I just love the feeling of taking a waste of space and making it functional and practical AND PRETTY You may want to measure your space and see if they will interfere with your door but ours were the perfect gap for the picture ledges Speaking of the girls room I should just call it Nilah’s sleep space because that’s all it’s really used for, much to Noelles disappointment. Noelle would really love to play in there more but Nilah is a great sleeper and I’m just thankful for that quiet time so I’m not messing with it! Speaking of Nilah, swipe to see her today and how mischievous and sassy she’s getting. She’s at the age where her personality is starting to come out and just this week she’s gotten much more daring and she’s really getting a kick out of herself! She loves giving cheesy grins and laughing as she tries to climb over the back of the couch. I’m kind of ready to just remove the couch from our house altogether Am I just not remembering correctly?!why does it feel like the other 2 listened more when I told them to sit on their bum. Little Nilah Eve is 1! I can’t believe one year ago it was hurricane Dorian and we were released from the hospital a day after my c-section... I really can’t believe everything that’s happened since then! ... I thought that would be the craziest part of her first year but here we are It’s a different world and Nilah is a different baby from our first 2. She’s very close to Nick and I, so much so it can be overwhelming. She won’t let us out of her sight and grasp for even a second. The days can sometimes seem long but then here we are one year later and I don’t want to wish a single bit of her chubby baby hands reaching for us away. She’s our true baby of the family, she’s strong, stubborn, smart and silly. How’s my Lucy Hale?! I find it incredibly difficult to make my brows happen while at the same time make my lips slightly parted as if it’s natural, while focusing so I don’t have dead eyes, seriously not as easy as it looks! You guys have to see this Thrift store chair makeover!! I have changed the chairs at this table about twice a year for the last 5 years I just couldn’t find the right fit!... Our last black chairs were a fb marketplace find but they were new and not great quality, I felt like they would snap in half if you tried to use it everyday. It was fine as a temporary solution but I knew our kids were too hard on them to last. Plus they had a straight across back on them and it just felt like everything in this area was very sharp I found these vintage wood chairs at the thrift store and honestly, they were super overpriced imo $13 each! And some of the back rungs were out of place and needed to be wood filled/glued back. This is what’s been taking me so long to get moving on this project! I repaired the chairs, washed with tsp, lightly sanded and spray painted one in matte black yesterday. Well, well. It’s all worth it! Because it turned out so beautiful! It looks like a homesense find to me and you would pay a good $100 a piece for these at homesense!
