The Eye See...Eye Learn (ESEL) program is available to children born in 2016 that are in any junior kindergarten program. This ESEL program begins July 1, 2020 and goes through to June 30, 2021. Due to the business disruption of COVID-19, the Eye See...Eye Learn program will be extended to December 31, 2020 for children born in 2015. If required, Eye See...Eye Learn will provide one pair of glasses courtesy of our participating optometrists and corporate partners Plastic Plus and Modern Optical Canada. The frames are fashionable and are made with high quality and impact resistant polycarbonate lenses. The estimated value of the glasses is over $250. Annual comprehensive eye exams are covered by OHIP (health card) up to 19 years of age. Thank you!

Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School 22.04.2020

Aanii everyone! On Wednesday, September 30th, we encourage you to join hundreds of others across Canada and wear an orange shirt to honour the children who survived the Residential School system and remember those who didn’t make it home. Since it began in 2013, the phrase Every Child Matters has been used as part of the movement to recognize the value of every child and for communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for future generations. Please show your support and wear orange tomorrow.

Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School 16.04.2020

This is a reminder to all families and students to wear your orange shirt this Wednesday, September 30th. Show your spirit of reconciliation and hope as well as Every Child Matters.

Dear Holy Trinity Families, Thank you for your effort and assistance in completing a screening process with your child/ren each day before sending him or her to school. This will help our school community in ways that we cannot measure. The Ministry has made some revisions to the Covid-19 Screening Checklist Symptoms. Below are the links to follow where you will find the updates.... Self-Assessment Link for general use. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/ School Screening Checklist use this link each morning. https://covid-19.ontario.ca///schoolscreening_bw_EN_V1.pdf This screening process can also be done online in a more interactive format where responses can be entered electronically and further directions will be provided based on those responses. Dear Redbird Families, We need your help! Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place, we are unable to run our usual school Recycling Program as this is a student-led program involving direct and indirect contact in various places throughout the school. As you are aware, students are limited to their cohort areas only. As we cannot collect recyclables and we need to reduce the garbage in our cans, we are asking everyone to participate in the Boomerang Lunch Program. The progra...m is simple every item that is packed in your child’s lunch will come back to you in the lunch bag each day; this includes, wrappers, apple cores, plastic utensils, and uneaten food. This will give you an opportunity to recycle or use your composter at home. We will not repack opened beverages that cannot be tightly sealed as we don’t want to cause a leak in your child’s lunch bag. When possible, please send a beverage in a bottle that can be resealed so left overs can be brought back home. Please continue to ensure that your child has his or her own labelled water bottle for our water filling station. Unfortunately we cannot provide cups at the school. We thank you for your continued support and flexibility in adjusting to many changes as we all work to keep our students safe. See more
