It is with a heavy heart of learning of the passing of Percy Schmeiser on October 13, 2020. We are honored that we had a chance to meet him and have Anthony Drake, the Designer of the Saskatchewan Flag, and Percy Schmeiser, the person on the Flag Committee in 1969 to choose our Flag, meet last year for the very first time, during the 50th Anniversary of our Saskatchewan Flag.

I was traveling to Gravelbourg and I saw these 2 Flags flying, at someone's home along the highway.

Even our new Granddaughter is celebrating Saskatchewan Flag Day. Anthony Drake's wife, Joan Drake, made the mask for me.

Along with the Provincial Proclamation, MLA Gene Makowsky sent along this letter. It is very special to us.

September 22, 2020 marks the 51st Anniversary of the Inaugural raising of the Saskatchewan Flag. I requested the Provincial Government to Proclaim this day to be Saskatchewan Flag day, and they did. This is the Proclamation.

Our Province is 115 years old. Our Saskatchewan Flag is 51 years old on September 22nd.
