Hello golfers! Well this has been a beautiful week after some unfortunate news from our premier once again! We are not permitted to have guests in our restaurant or on our patio area but we are permitted to golf! Our superintendent Steve Kennedy had been feverishly working away at the course and carts for the last 3 weeks with his team and he says after a few more cuts this week on the fairways and greens we will be able to open the course this Friday April 9th! We will be... open for takeout Thursday and once the course opens Friday, takeout will be available every day during golfing hours and late (10 pm) Thursday through Saturday nights! We hope you are all holding up well during another difficult time but we welcome everyone out to get some fresh air and exercise with us out at homestead! Covid rules will remain in effect just like last year and please remember to book your tee times in advance! We look forward to seeing you!

Hello Homestead friends! We all hope that everyone is keeping safe and happy during these challenging times. Here at homestead we have had to take a variety of steps to ensure our guests safety and comfort during this unprecedented event. We have removed a pool table (leaving us 3) and more than half our seating to ensure achievable social distancing. Although the golf course is now closed, we continue to operate our restaurant Wednesday through Sunday. We are limited to 50 ...guests dining in but takeout has been quite popular all year. We hope our area continues to avoid an outbreak and do hope some of you pop in to visit us at your leisure. Thursday remains wing night Friday is our homebattered fish & chips & roast beef special Saturday remains Steak and Rib night. Hope to see you soon!

Snowmobile fans rejoice! We have received the go ahead from our fabulous & hard working Grey Bruce health unit to rent our snowmobiles once again this year. We are still in the midst of a lockdown of course, so the restaurant will continue to be takeout only and we are not permitted to have guests utilize anything on site other than rental related materials. Regarding golf, the municipality of health has set in place some regulations & restrictions as it pertains to golf. We ask that anyone planning to come golfing please make a tee time in advance of their arrival. All flagsticks must remain in the cup at all times, we ask that guests do not touch them. The cups have been ...adjusted for players safety. All ball washers, club washers and bunker rakes have been removed for guest safety Please refrain from high fives and handshakes Carts will be permitted but you may only ride in a cart with a person whom resides with you, all other guests must ride alone Please call ahead for any food and/or drink order as clubhouse is open for takeout orders only, there is no seating permitted at this time. Please refrain from congregation in the parking lot or around or in clubhouse. You may pay in advance via credit card over the phone if you would prefer a contactless transaction, although debit machine will be sanitized after each use. Sanitizer available on site for your use. Most importantly, please remember to wash your hands thoroughly and maintain safe social distancing practices. HAVE FUN!!!! We can’t wait to see everyone back out soon!

We are all continuing to do our best to cope with the covid-19 health and safety issues regarding opening the golf course and re opening our restaurant. Both myself and the staff just can’t wait to get back to see everyone again We have not stopped working and have the course ready to go pending government approval of course. Homestead as part and in conjunction with the the NGCOA has proposed the following the the government in order to get the course open, - Eliminate a...ny walk-ups or cash payments by accepting only online or call ahead pre-paid green fees. -Golfers to wait in their cars until told that they can tee off. -Clubhouse dining rooms will remain closed. Food & beverage can be provided on a takeout basis as per government regulations. -Social distancing will be enforced for all golfers. There will be no close interaction amongst golfers (ie no hand shaking, touching golf balls, clubs, pin, etc.) -People can only play with the group the booked as no pairing or joining of other groups will be allowed. -Increase tee-time intervals to further increase the social distancing protocols. -Eliminate club rentals. -Eliminate push-cart rentals. -Eliminate power-cart rentals. -Eliminate scorecards and pencils. -Remove ball washers or tape them shut. -Remove or disconnect water fountains or coolers; consider offering bottled water only. -Remove bunker rakes. -Raising the cup 1" above the putting surface, inserting the cup upside down, or creating a gimme circle around each hole location to reduce surface contamination. -Increased or add hand sanitizer stations -Increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all locations golfers may come in contact with.
