Hometown News Smiths Falls 25.11.2020

On Thursday November 12, 2020 at approximately 12:55 a.m., police received a call to attend a residence on Abbott Street north for a report of a break and enter that had just occurred. Investigation revealed that a 36 year old, Anthony HENDERSON of Smiths Falls, used force to gain entry into the residence while the residents were inside.

On Wednesday November 11, 2020 at approximately 7:48 p.m., police received a complaint of an armed robbery reported after the fact. Investigation revealed that two male suspects, Karol KROTKI (20 years old) and Braeden MELDRUM (20 years old), both of Smiths Falls, had met up with a male victim at a predetermined location and time.

On Sunday November 8, 2020 at approximately 6:41 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Elm Street east. Investigation revealed that the 59 year old driver, Henry VERHOEVEN, of North Gower was deemed to be impaired by a combination of alcohol and drugs by a Drug Recognition Expert Officer.
