With celebrating 60 years in the community, we have much to share! Did you know. During the final weeks of 1969, the Houston & District Chamber of Commerce made plans to obtain an ambulance for use in the greater Houston area, and a committee was appointed to take charge of this amazing project. The Houston & District Chamber of Commerce's Ambulance Drive committee was chaired by Gerry Hamming and comprised of chamber members: Al Muir, Dennis Dick, Gerry Dodd, Charles Sullivan, and Dave Cowley. To kick off the Ambulance drive, the Houston & District Chamber of Commerce president Jack Kempf presented the committee with a cheque for $1000.00. The Chamber committee raised $7125.00 to purchase the ambulance for the Houston area by March 1970. #houstonbccoc #houstonbc #chambermember #60yearsinbusiness #backintime #backintheday
