We're looking for the owner of this sweet neutered male cat that was found on Frecker Drive in Cowan Heights. Goose (not real name) appears to be an older kitty and is noticeable thin. He is very affectionate and may have been lost for quite some time. If you own him or if he looks familiar, please contact us at [email protected] or call 311.

Has your pet had their Mani/Pedi lately? Perhaps its time for an "At Home Spa Day". Overgrown nails can cause pain and discomfort. If left over the long term, they can lead to orthopedic problems and/or nail bed infections. If you or your pet are uncomfortable with nail trims at home, we encourage you to establish a relationship with a pet groomer or veterinary clinic who can keep those toes trimmed and healthy.

Scaredy-Cat transforms into a Relax-Cat Butterball came to us from a loving home due to unforeseen circumstances. Being an indoor cat, his stay at the shelter resulted in fear, uncertainty and hiding behavior. Luckily, he has found a new family. He can now relax and nap stress free without worry

Home for the holidays? We would love to see Neil and Donnie find a home for Christmas. They've been with us for quite some time and we'd like to see them adopted together. They were both found as strays from different areas of the city but have developed quite the "bromance". Please spread the word and share their pictures.

Introducing Max and his 2 sidekicks Evan and Oakley. Max (big orange fluffy) who is so-so with other animals has really taken a liking to these 2 little guys. Both Evan and Oakley came to us from 2 separate outdoor cat colonies and are slowly but surely warming up to people. The bond that has taken place is truly amazing and wonderful to watch. Although Max can be adopted separately, we are looking to at least place Evan and Oakley together or in homes that already have other cats. If you are interested, please complete our cat adoption application at stjohns.ca and email to [email protected]

UPDATE: We are going to a wonderful, loving home!!! Introducing our 2 special golden girls: Sandy and Riley. These 2 ladies have completely stolen our hearts. They came to us as a result of a death in their family and must be adopted together. Sandy and Riley are truly the perfect couple to adopt. They are 10 years old but don't let their age fool you. They play like puppies, have plenty of spunk and are housetrained. Both are spayed, are excellent with children and get along well with cats and other dogs. Serious inquiries only please. If you're interested in adopting these 2 beauties, please complete an application form at stjohns.ca and email to [email protected]

Meet Annie! Annie is a beautiful curvy girl and she’s got a large purrsonality to match! She loves to greet us in the morning with chatty conversations. She a...dores attention sometimes she’ll even stand on two feet to get a good head rub! Overall, Annie’s a very low maintenance cat who enjoys good food and napping the afternoon away. Annie is currently our longest resident, having lived with us for a little over a month. She is looking for an experienced cat lover who is ready to allow her a quiet home and a little time to settle in. Your patience will definitely pay off once she’s comfortable Annie lets you see what a heart of gold she has and will reward you with love and even lap cuddles! With a little love and stability, we know that Annie is going to make a lovely addition to her new home! If you or someone you know would like to meet this beautiful girl, please consider stopping by our lounge at 124 Duckworth Street. We promise you won't regret it. See more
