How do you motivate yourself when you’re in a slump? "I motivate myself by getting myself more excited through other activities. I take late night walks, play video games(Pokemon go), sketch, eat food, sing out loud, take showers at weird times, read, text people, games, music, watch MatPat, sleep, jump around, give up and then proceed to kick myself for even considering giving up.)" Kristen Li, 1A AFM

How do you get out of an uncomfortable situation? "If you don’t wanna do something, say you don’t. If someone is bothering you, tell them to stop." - Evan Chen, 1A AFM

What movie would you want to describe your life the most? I think I’d like my life to be like the movie grownups. I just wanna be with my people who are close to me, living my best life and enjoying every moment - Lakshmi Khatri, 2A AFM

Welcome back Humans of SAF! What inspires you to draw? "I like to paint stories. I am very self-indulgent and like to create things that inspire me from pre-existing content. I also draw out of spite. Sometimes I feel like I can’t finish anything, so I prove myself wrong through drawing."... -Erica Zhang, 1A AFM

Who do you look up to the most, and what qualities do you love about that person? "We look up to our friend Keshika because she inspires us with her toilet humour. Our favourite memory with her would be speed walking back to our dorm so she could blow it up" -Emily Wei, Lisa Zhao, and Kristen Phan (1B, AFM)

What objects tell the story of your life? "If an object were to represent me and my life, I would choose a diamond. Not only am I precious and valuable, but the diamond also represents hardship as it is the hardest substance on the Moh scale. Diamonds are tough and not easily damaged, but are also transparent. I like to believe I have strong will power but try to remain honest and selfless; pure." - Catherine Morris, 1B Biotech/CPA... "The necklace and bracelet I always wear and my first pair of NMDs pretty much describes my life. My necklace and bracelet are pieces of jewelry that were passed down from my grandpa to my dad and now to me. These two pieces remind me daily of my family and they are probably the most important people in my life. Without them, I won't be where I am today. As for my first pair of NMDs, they were the exclusive tricolor OGs and the first pair of sneakers I bought with my own money. This pair of NMDs made me fall in love with the sneaker culture hence inspired in me starting my own company and being able to earn enough money to pay off the first year. These sneakers remind me every day that I should do things my way and earn my own money so I don’t have to place more burden on my parents." - Geoffrey Chaung, 1B Biotech/CPA
