Our second semester Plumbing Techniques students attended the 2014 CMPX (Canadian Mechanical & Plumbing Exposition) show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Wednesday, March 19th. The students had a really great time and were able to interact with some of the vendors, ask the vendors questions, and appreciate the diversity that plumbing offers. They also established a great camaraderie with one another, and left the show with lots of free goodies!

Plumbing Techniques Student Spotlight: Mitchell Vanderdonk Mitchell loves the job opportunities Plumbing Techniques program provides in the field of plumbing. The salary is good and he likes that Humber provides a hands-on approach. Mitchell isn't pressured and can learn at his own pace which he likes. If you don't understand something being taught the class is small enough to give you opportunities to have one-on-one guidance from teachers in the field. His teacher Bob Smith is safety oriented and has knowledge to help Mitchell succeed in the workplace. Rick Snowdon is another favorite teacher that he respects as his knowledge in the way things work in the industry is tremendous.
