Merry Christmas from your Richmond Firefighters. We are so proud to serve our community through these challenging times. This weekend we’re lending a helping hand to those who need it most by supporting our Richmond Food Bank Society with a Food Drive Boot Drive. Bring your non-perishable goods and change to Ironwood Plaza where on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am-4:00pm and let’s make sure we can continue to support the amazing efforts of our local Food Bank.

Everett used Facebook to send out an ask for a coveted Richmond Firefighter toque. With a little investigation by our Community Relations Officer in co-ordination with our Society we made the connection. Just in time for some cold weather. Enjoy Everett. Great to have your support in our community. . . #givingback #communityrelationships #richmond #firefighter

This weekend we’re shaking the boot for Muscular Dystrophy Canada at both Ironwood (Save-On, BC Liquor Store and McDonalds) and No. 2 Rd and Blundell (McDonalds)! As you can imagine, non-profits like Muscular Dystrophy Canada need all the support they can get during this time. Come on down and help us FILL THE BOOT! If you can’t make it there in person, check out the link below to make a virtual donation. All donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.https://muscle....akaraisin.com//virtu/t/richmondfirefighters Thank you to the community of Richmond for your continued support!

With the situation changing hourly, here are some guidelines to the first responder self isolation protocol. If you’ve travelled outside of Canada as of now it’s recommended to self isolate for 14 days and then advise if you’re healthy to return to work. http://www.bccdc.ca//COVID-19-Essential-service-workers-tr
