Why is every diet we attempt failed? Why do we eat beyond our needs? How did we get disconnected with ourselves and feel our own body only when it is stuffed with food? A prayer helps you to refocus attention from unhelpful thoughts and elevates feelings. A prayer empowers you - when you cannot do anything, you still can pray. A prayer facilitates a connection with your Creator and, therefore, installs hope. Do not ignore your spiritual needs!

We need vitamin D! It is well known that vitamin D is essential for healthy bones as it helps with the absorption of calcium. However, not everyone knows that vitamin D is highly important for brain functioning and mood regulation. Vitamin D deficiency is directly linked with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. In Canada, we all need to increase vitamin D level with diet and supplements as we don't have enough sun to produce it. High vitamin D diet includes dairy, fatty fish, eggs and oranges. Be well :-)

Positivity is what we are aiming for. However, too much of positivity can have a negative effect. For example, when people are exclusively positive they cannot be creative. The research concluded that some negativity is necessary for creativity. The best ration between positivity and negativity is 4 or more to 1. In order to have a vibrant life, we need to pay attention to our emotional hygiene. If your energy is low, doing something active and productive is the last thing you want to do. You need to know how you keep losing your energy. The first thing on the list of how your energy can be drained is too much time with toxic people. I don't like the term "toxic people" as everyone can be toxic from time to time. However, some people live in a habit of being toxic. They are negative ...and critical most of the time, they complain often and require a lot of support and understanding without making an effort to resolve their issues. And when you suggest an action plan, it will be pointed out why it won't work. You may feel tired, fatigue, exhausted, and empty after interacting with these people. It is okay to be there for your friend...but you cannot allow someone to drain your energy regularly. Conscious living is about taking responsibility for your wellness. See more
