To help stop the spread of the Covid 19 virus the ICT Service Desk is working remotely. Students can contact us by emailing [email protected]. Faculty and staff can contact us by emailing [email protected] to create a ticket. We are experiencing high contact volumes, however we will get back to you as soon as possible.

On Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, ICT will be conducting a disaster recovery exercise that will help prepare and protect Laurier’s IT infrastructure in the event of a disaster. Please note that between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. there will be intermittent outages to the following critical services: MyLearningSpace Active Directory for authentication Shibboleth single sign-on ... Laurier’s websites including: wlu.ca and students.wlu.ca Exchange email Emergency Notification System (ENS) Banner LORIS OneCard Wired network and Wi-Fi access as well as door access, and classroom computers and AV are not expected to be impacted. Please ensure that you plan accordingly, and contact the ICT Service Desk x4357 if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation during this important exercise.

The ICT Service Desk will be open from 9 am to 2:30 pm Sept 1 and Sept 2.

Laurier’s Waterloo and Brantford campuses and Kitchener location are closed today, Wed., Feb. 6, due to severe weather. Laurier’s Toronto office will open by 10... a.m. Please use extra caution if travelling to the Toronto office today. Also, please note: - Laurier’s Toronto MBA class scheduled for this evening at the Vantage Venues location has been cancelled. - The P4E Job Fair in Waterloo has been cancelled. When the university is thus closed, the closing is for both the day and night and the university will reopen at 7 a.m. the next day. Check www.wlu.ca for details.

Tomorrow, from 10PM to 2AM our Internet Service Provider will be performing a maintenance on their network. There will be a 30mins outage during this time where there will be no internet in Waterloo, Kitchener, or Toronto campuses. As a result, during this 30 minutes all network services, including email, will be unavailable. Internet services at the Brantford campus will not be affected. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the ICT Service Desk x4357 during regular business hours.

Please be advised that ICT will be conducting a network upgrade on the Waterloo campus on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. As a result of this work, there will be no network services (i.e. wired or wireless internet, VoIP telephones, etc.) in the following buildings: - Dr. Alvin Woods Building (DAWB) - Student Services Building - Paul Martin Centre (PMC) - Schlegel Centre... Network services will be available elsewhere on the Waterloo campus and no other campuses will be affected.
