Dear valued clients, Please take a moment to become informed of the following COVID-19 update here at Illusions. Due to the recent increase in numbers and newly implemented restrictions we would like to take a moment to remind you of our strict COVID-19 safety measures. ... MASKS - Are MANDATORY (no exceptions). Please have your mask on before entering the salon and keep your mask on and secure, for the entire duration of your appointment. We currently have the opportunity to be part of the solution so let’s all do our part to keep one another safe! SCREENING PROCESS - We have taken the extra measures of a temperature check and symptom / travel check upon your arrival to further ensure a safe environment. ARRIVAL - Please do not arrive early for your appointment. We will not permit any waiting in the salon prior to appointments. When you arrive please wait in your vehicle until your time. GUESTS - Absolutely no guests are permitted to accompany you to your appointment. If you are a parent accompanying a minor or assisting a person with a disability, please note only one accompanying person to one guest at a time is permitted in the salon. Larger family groups must rotate one at a time while others wait in a vehicle. FOOD & BEVERAGE - Absolutely NO food or beverage of any kind will be permitted into the salon. WASHROOMS - Our washrooms will continue to remain closed at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and we ask you to be mindful and plan accordingly. We continue to follow strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures, as we have since our reopening. We wish to keep our doors open as long as we are permitted but we need to have the cooperation of the community to do that. If you are displaying any symptoms or illness of ANY KIND, please rebook your appointment with your stylist for 2 weeks from your booked date. Valued clients, friends and family! As promised previously we are here to update you all on the current situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic and the salon closure. Our previous announced closure was an independent decision by Illusions and we had hope to possibly be able to open today (April 1st). Unfortunately on March 21st the provincial government implemented an immediate full closure of all personal service businesses, until further notice. This closure extend to ...all salons, barber shops, spas and tattoo shops etc. As personal service providers we are not able to maintain a safe social distance wile providing hair and esthetic services. We are still under closure via the ministry of health B.C. This means all future appointments are tentatively canceled. You will be contacted by your individual stylists to confirm this on a week to week basis. We are not rebooking appointments at this time as we don’t know when we will reopen. We want you to know we hear you, we miss you and we sympathize all of your Hair Frustrations! A few things you can do to benefit your hair are: - Do not cut your own hair.... put the scissors down and leave the box color on the shelf! These DIY mishaps lead to hard to and expensive fixes later!! - Turn off the heat!! Take a break from the heat tools and go natural! - Treat yourself for a deep conditioning treatment! - Use your dry shampoo and less product to extend between wash days. We know these are tough times and we know we are all going Crazy with Roots ... don’t worry so are we!! In support of our clients we too are showing off our roots!! Lastly, one more thing... please don’t ask us to come to your home or make an exception to do your hair. Please don’t ask us what box colors you can use or if you can pick up professional color from us for you to use yourself. This closure is to keep us all safe! Asking your stylist to risk it because your not sick, or your house is safe isn’t doing your part. It’s important that it’s noted professionals and businesses caught not complying to these rules and closures can be criminally charged with fines and jail time. We love you all and we miss you all so much! It’s incredibly hard for our entire team to be away from what we are so passionate about... YOUR HAIR!! Dear Valued clients, friends and family. It is with heavy hearts that we officially announce the closure of Illusions. Our team has been working tirelessly to accommodate our clients and meet the increased sanitation requirements to combat the COVID-19 virus. Unfortunately at this time we have made the decision to close effective immediately, until but not limited to April 1st. ... We will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly to our closure & reopening. Our decision to close is based off of the rapidly changing advisories from the world health organization and local health authorities. As professionals we feel it is our responsibility to ourselves and to the public to endorse the social distancing requirements. We can not fulfil the 2 meter distance from our clients while performing our professional services, putting everyone at risk. Our closure will remain in effect as long as it takes for this pandemic to pass and we are given the ok to reopen safely. During this time we kindly ask you not to offer to go to your stylists home to have your hair done, please don’t ask for an exception because you need your hair done and please don’t go to an open salon. Even if these open salons say they are taking every measure to ensure your safety, you should know if they were their doors too would be closed. We realize this is not a convenience for anyone and we know it is a scary and frustrating time. Remember we are all in this situation together as professionals and clients alike. We will remain available to clients via social media messages and emails. If you have any questions regarding your hair or future appointments please reach out to us! Our staff will be working diligently to contact all of our clients over the next couple days to notify individuals and cancel appointments. At this time, our online booking is temporarily suspended. Please be patient, we will get everyone an appointment in an orderly fashion upon the reopening of Illusions. All appointments that are to be canceled will not be rebooked until we are able to reopen. This does not mean you won’t have an appointment, it means you will be given the first available appointment in order of your current booking. We thank you all immensely for your continued love and support and we will miss you all during this time. Please know this decision did not come lightly and we appreciate your understanding. Just a friendly reminder to all valued clients, friends and family! Cold and flu season is fast approaching and an increase of sick clients has become common in the salon. Although we can’t ask you not to come in for your appointment, we can ask you to please reconsider and reschedule. ... We would all go out of our way to accommodate you by coming in early, staying late or giving up some time on a weekend to get you back in our books! When you come into the salon sick, please remember and consider the following: - You are in close quarters with not just your stylist but other clients as well. - You are often in the salon for an extended period of time. Germs can spread to others quickly in such environments. - If your stylist gets sick it affects not just them and their family but the many clients they now have to reschedule as they are not well enough to come in. - Stylists do not get sick days if we can’t work it is a negative impact on our lives. Also an inconvenience to many.
