"I went a couple of weeks ago and yes, the cohorts are so small it’s almost like having the exhibit to yourself. And even back then, staff were continuously sanitizing the escalators hand rails, doors etc. It felt very safe. And it was a remarkable exhibit. I am so glad I went." - Debby Lute-Storey ... #imaginevangogh #vangogwinnipeg #ivgwinnipeg . #immersive #exhibit #exhibition #art #gallery #winnipeg #manitoba #canada #culture #vangogh #vincentvangogh #wpg #mb #vangoghart #vangoghinspires #photography #image #igers

Bat (1886) Van Gogh knew a man in Eindhoven (NL), Antoon Hermans, who had a collection of over 300 stuffed exotic animals. This bat most likely comes from this collection. Van Gogh wanted to clearly represent the translucent wings, so he placed a light source behind them. This work was created before Vincent arrived in the south of France, the period covered by our exhibition. It is therefore only a wink on this Halloween day! #imaginevangogh #vangogwinnipeg #ivgwinnipeg... . #exposition #exhibit #art #winnipeg #manitoba #canada #culture #vangogh #vincentvangogh #musee #museum #immersif #immersive #wpg #mb #halloween #bat #chauvesouris See more

Van Gogh was a fervent amateur of astronomy from a very young age, but it was not until his arrival in Arles in 1888 that he developed a real obsession for the starry skies. Of course, many of his paintings represent starry skies. One can think not only of The Starry Night (1889), but also of Café Terasse at Night (1888) which would have initiated the trend. Moreover, did you know that many of his paintings are now studied by curious astronomers? The latter are trying to disc...over whether Van Gogh's representations are the result of a real scientific phenomenon or the simple fruit of his torments. Did You Know: Winnipeg could also be called the city of bridges. Winnipeg has a total of 43 vehicular bridges over water. The Langlois Bridge in Arles, or the Van Gogh bridge (1888). Van Gogh painted several bridges over the years, including this canvas of the Réginelle Bridge. At the time, it was called Langlois Bridge after the man who guarded it and manipulated the lowering or lifting controls of the bridge. Van Gogh misunderstood, named it as the Langlois bridge. This wei...ghbridge was destroyed in 1926. PHOTO # 2: The identical Van Gogh Bridge was dismantled from its original location and moved a few dozen meters away. #imaginevangogh #vangogwinnipeg #ivgwinnipeg . #exposition #exhibit #art #winnipeg #manitoba #canada #culture #vangogh #vincentvangogh #musee #museum #immersif #immersive #wpg #mb #bridge #pont
