At Inclusive Accounting, we our small business connections in the #Oshawa community! We love shopping #local and encourage everyone to do the same but if the budget is a little tighter these days, here are some free ways to still support those businesses you love: 1) Support their social media with shares, likes and comments 2) Give them a Google rating 3) Subscribe to their email list 4) Tell your friends why you love them!

There are 3 easy steps to getting your #contactless tax return done (okay, really 2, we're stretching it for that last step!). 1) Email [email protected] and we'll set you up with your own secure Portal access for document storage 2) Upload your tax documents. You can do it all at once or it can be your storage solution throughout the year for easy electronic document filing! 3) We'll take care of the rest including #tax preparation and e-filing your return for the quickest refund!

Gone are the days where the only way to give your accountant your year end tax files is on a USB drive (or even a floppy disk!). These days we have *contactless* options to receive your data! From a cloud accounting software (i.e. Intuit QuickBooks Online) Through our secure portal (just shoot us an email to get set up!)... Of course if you're old school, your floppy disks, USB and CD backups are still okay by us!

Working from home has become the new normal for a lot of people! Here are some tips and tricks to make it a little easier.

Are you one of the many people now working from home? Did you know that you might be able to claim some of your home office expenses on your tax return? Currently, you can claim things like utilities and maintenance if your employment contract states that you are responsible for having a home office and that you work in your office more than 50% of the time. Worried that you can't claim the credit due to your employment contract not stating you have to work from home? CPA's are already addressing this with the CRA to get that restriction lifted in the current climate and make this credit easier to claim for 2020!
