ILMB Board Member Grace Schedler is the Indigenous Ambassador for the Circles of Reconciliation and Raymond Currie is the Project Coordinator. The Circles for Reconciliation is about bringing groups together to restore broken relationships with the Indigenous people and Non Indigenous people in Canada. The structure of a Circle is to create a safe and respectful environment by land acknowledgement, drumming, seven sacred teachings, moment of silence before the presentation of a theme, then period of sharing, and the closing of the circle. For more information or to participate in a circle go to www.circlesforreconcilation.ca This morning at 10:40am, they were interviewed on NCI radio station to talk about Circles for Reconciliation. www.ncifm.com

In 2018, Indigenous Languages of Manitoba organized a workshop for community members to effectively run language camps in their own areas! The importance of creating these language nests and opportunities is crucial in revitalizing language, as it provides a safe and immersive environment for learning.
