The only school of its kind in Canada We offer full-time three and four-year programs embracing the #spirit, #energy and #inspiration derived from the #culture, #values and #traditions of #Indigenous people. We train you, the future Indigenous #artist, to become #tomorrow’s #inspired and #passionate Indigenous #voice. We are Indigenous lead for Indigenous #students.... No qualified student is ever refused due to a lack of funding. And, we are accepting applications.

Today is #OrangeShirtDay, and we're practicing safe #SocialDistancing. We hope you are too. #EveryChildMatters is not something we say in passing, it's not a fair-weather sentiment we utter casually. We call upon the Government and Senate to recognise and designate September 30th as National #TruthandReconciliationDay. You can donate here: https://www.orangeshirtday.org/donations.html #TruthandReconciliation #OurHistory #IndigenousRights

Deepest of thank you's to Tiff, the Amplify Award jury and everyone who voted for our film. So proud to announce that Inconvenient Indian has been awarded the T...iff People's Choice Documentary Award and the Best Canadian Feature Amplify Voices Award. This is beyond my wildest dreams! Thank you to my collaborators, producers Jesse Wente, Stuart Henderson and Justine Pimlott, the NFB and 90th Parallel and Catie Lamer, Katie Chipperfield and Brennan Mercer, as well as all the prolific Thomas King, all of the wonderful artists profiled in the film, my talented crew and cast. This was a true collaboration on every level. In the spirit of amplifying voices, we will be dividing the prize money between five emerging Indigenous artists. Recipients to be announced in mid October. #IndigenousFilm #indigenousvoicesrising #TogetherWeRise See more

We are more than a school. Centre for Indigenous Theatre co-funds not only a student's education but their living and housing expenses. So, the better-funded we are, the more opportunities we can create for deserving students. We need donors like you, to step-up up and help us keep creating these opportunities for students.... https://www.indigenoustheatre.com/donate/

Last year we lost our dear friend and CIT alumni, Brendan Austin. We are honouring his memory through a page we designed where you can add your stories & memories. Add your posts, photos and videos through Instagram, YouTube Twitter, and our Facebook Page using the hashtag #MiigwetchBrendan and they will be displayed on the page as a community created living wall celebrating Brendan and all that he meant to us. https://www.indigenoustheatre.com/miigwetchbrendan/
