IES is proud to announce the formation of the Rose City Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE)! The CSSE will bring safety professionals from Windsor-Essex to Chatham-Kent together to discuss upcoming changes to Legislation, training opportunities, trends in our geographical area and much more. Indoor Environmental Specialists Inc. is currently looking for an Occupational Hygiene Technologist to join our team. Flexible hours are required and wage will be based on level of knowledge and experience. The successful applicant will be required to complete site inspections, collect bulk and air samples of potential designated substances and hazardous materials, create and update floorplans using CAD software, perform chemical air sampling, perform noise level testing, int...erpret sample results as per applicable regulations and guidelines, prepare professional reports and specifications based on site inspections and sample analysis, coordinate and inspect hazardous materials removal projects, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Sciences. Experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Testing, Designated Substance Assessments and Mould Assessments is an asset. Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and car insurance. Willing and able to perform extensive paid travel throughout Southern Ontario. Flexible hours as evenings and weekends will be required on an as needed basis. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of AutoCAD software is an asset. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must. High attention to detail is essential. Must be a motivated, analytical thinker. Must be punctual, honest and reliable.
