Right now we don’t know when the studio will be able to open. We’ve needed to reassess what we do in the meantime. Unfortunately offering online & live stream classes through Mindbody isn’t viable anymore. ... Luckily we have a website for the training arm of our brand which allows us to post videos. We’ve started a library there that you can subscribe to and do classes from home at any time. We will continue to add to that library as able. Reflecting on 2020, we wanted to say THANK YOU to our community. During the most testing year, the love and compassion that we have seen from our community is utterly inspiring. When the pandemic hit hard, our community hit back harder. If it weren’t for you, Inferno would not exist today. We would not be gearing up to reopen next month (regulations permitting)!... To our beloved clients, Early 2017, Nate & Mel brought us into the world of Hot Pilates by opening the doors to Inferno Fitness. Since then, we've all fallen in love with these classes. Over the past 4 years we have had so much growth & love for all who have come through our doors. 2020 has pushed everything to an extreme including clients who surpasses 500 classes and the opening of our new studio but also setbacks like this pandemic.... With our new studio we had thought that we’d be able to host 30 people in a class, but social distancing brought us down to 11. After the outbreak we were reduced down to 6, and less class times. What was once envisioned as having up to 300 people in a day, is down to 36. That makes it quite difficult to pay the bills & to keep the doors open. Luckily, we have some great landlords who chose to work with us. Over the last month we have been weighing options & exploring opportunities on how to make the most of it while keeping everyone as safe as possible. Mel has consulted with many people & has come to a difficult decision. Effective November 10, 2020, Inferno Fitness’ physical location will be closed. We have high hopes that this will be temporary. We have seen so much growth that we know we can flourish under the right conditions, but the current limitation and risks cannot be taken lightly. We intend to continue with the online offerings (coming soon!) until such a time where it makes sense to open the physical location again. We truly hope that this is an intermission in our story. You are all a member of this family and we have so much love for you. We will continue to stand by "your best is always enough", and we will do our best through these other modalities. We will be canceling memberships and class passes will be extended when we open again. We are launching our online classes with a FREE class tomorrow at 9:30am Register through Mindbody and receive an email about 30 minutes before class starts with a link. ... We will be striving to host a class daily. If you are currently on an unlimited pass, you can finish off your month with these online classes. Don’t have a pass? We’ve got a special pass available for you. Must admit, we are not overly sad to see October go. It has been one heck of a month for Inferno Fitness! That being said, we cannot say enough about the support that the community has shown us over the past few weeks. Originally, when we had hoped to only be closed for a week, we had said that there would be no refunds or extension of passes since COVID is out of our control. Because we ended up being closed for 3 weeks, we felt that we needed to revisit that statement. ... After receiving support from our landlord, we are happy to share a free month with those who had paid for a pass between September 26th and October 25th . How we did it is: - Those on auto-renewals have been refunded for 1 month of their passes. - Those on a one-month pass have had it extended to 2 months (including intro offers). (Please allow a few days for processing) There are no words or actions to describe how we feel about you all right now. We hope that this will exemplify to some degree the impact that you have all had on our hearts. We cannot wait to see you back at the studio or in our online platform soon. After a lot of reflection and an overwhelming surge of support, Mel has decided to open the studio back up (AHS gave us the go ahead on Friday). The messages about strength and mental health really fueled this decision. If we are able to get everything ready today (Sunday), classes will start again tomorrow, October 26th at 6am. As we head into this relaunch we are working on bringing a number of options for folks to take classes: - In Studio: Maximum 6 people in class. Some... class times have changed to accommodate the new procedures we'll have in place. As such, there will also be a few less classes. We also hope to have our cohort option available next week. If you already have a group of people who would like to form a cohort with, we would be happy to work with you on scheduling your private classes. - Live Stream: Some classes will be Live Stream enabled. That way if you are unable to get a spot in studio, you will still be able participate. This will not be accessible every class and will not be available immediately as there is still some work to be done on setting up the technology via Mindbody. - Online Video Library: We are in the process of building a library of videos that can be accessed at any time, from anywhere with our sister brand @hotpilatescanada . We are currently discussing changes to our membership options to reflect a tiered system based on which offerings you would like access to. More details to come. Kelsey will also be sharing on our stories this afternoon what the new process will look like when coming to the studio. Mel has instilled in us that our best is always enough and our community's reaction to this nightmare has proven that she was right all along.
