We could not be more proud to announce the winner of our first ever Rotary Junior Hero is Valerie Weir. Valerie recognized her dad was in distress and acted with bravery and courage to ensure he received the help he needed. We’re so proud of you, Valerie! This award will recognize the efforts of the youth in our community that exhibit bravery in difficult situations to help others. It will be awarded each December. Here’s a little video we made to wrap up the parade. Watch until the end to remember what Christmas is all about. Our community made this feel like the best little parade of all time because of the joy you brought to us and to each other. Merry Christmas from the Rotary Club of Ingersoll. https://youtu.be/NRGOPM5Ow2k

In a year that by design, was meant to keep us apart, as a community we've never been more connected. We have been overwhelmed with the messages of thanks, Christmas wishes, and joy from so many people. The truth is, this last week meant more to the people in the vehicles than this community will ever realize. Turning each corner and seeing those young and old with pure excitement for our little parade sparked Christmas spirit in us that we haven't felt since we were childr...Continue reading

We’re at the firehall tonight getting ready for our last night of this incredible journey. Tonight, we dedicate the parade to Firefighter Murray Weir. Murray was in our parade Monday night and had a medical emergency on Wednesday that has him fighting for his life. Our hearts have been with him and his beautiful family since we heard the news. We’re pretty sure the love this community has for Murray helped with clearing the skies tonight. ... We’re with you, Murr.

Ingersoll!! Here we are... our final night! What an unbelievable week it's been. It's a little wet, but that won't ruin our Christmas spirit! Remember, you can check out our location at www.ingersollrotary.com. You can also watch a quick clip of the route to give you a rough idea of when we'll be coming by! If you live in South East Ingersoll (roads in blue), share with your friends! We'll see you tonight!!

It is with great regret and sadness that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Ingersoll Rotary Christmas Parade. With the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 pandemic, concerns for the float entries, bands, volunteers and most importantly the health and safety of all our community’s residents and visitors, we have made the tough decision to not move forward with organizing the parade this year. We understand that our community has been greatly affected by the pandemic and... the cancelling of yet another event is hard on everyone. That said, we simply cannot take the risk associated and we feel this is the socially responsible decision for all involved. It is our goal to come back with a great parade in 2021 where our whole community can come together safely to celebrate the holiday season.

The Rotary Club of Ingersoll donated three iPads and cases to Alexandra Hospital this Friday, July 31, 2020. The iPads and cases will be used in the virtual patient visiting program and allow patients to connect with family and friends while in the hospital as a result of COVID-19 visiting restrictions. In the future they will be used by patients to connect with visitors who are not able to get into the hospital or live at a distance. From left to right is Dan Carney ( Mgr of IT), Sandra Lawson (Rotary Club President), Cheryl Pfaff ( Chief Nursing Executive and VP of Clinical Services, Quality and Safety) and Don Campbell.

We’re pleased to support Eric in providing funds for up to 450 HERO shields, produced right here in Ingersoll. We’re all in this together and we all have to do what we can to protect those that put their Iives on the line for us. Thank you Eric for stepping up to make these. Eric has already been producing these shields for no charge to those who need it. These shields will be provided for free to first responders in our community and beyond. Service above self!
