Fluorescent Test Update: In July 2018 we made some test swatches of various fluorescent acrylic paints, to see how fast their neon effect would fade away when exposed to light. Three copies were made, with one going right into our south facing front window (pictured here in the bottom right). Another was put in a box and stored in the dark (the control piece, pictured on top here), and the other has been moved around the store on various shelves out of direct sunlight (that one’s shown here on the bottom left). While we’re not surprised at how badly the one in the window has faded after being blasted with direct sunlight day after day for almost 3 years, we are surprised at how bright the one that’s been out on our shelf in non-direct light has held up!

Newly acquired table for our paper area from @the_edge_gallery - who are closing their Calgary location. Check out their upcoming Frame and Mat Sale Oct 27 11am - 3pm. Inglewood Art Supplies has a long history with Frameco - dating back 20yrs to when both shops first opened under same ownership. We have missed having them as neighbours since our move to Bridgeland. Nice to have this table in our shop as it is a not so distant relative of our beloved canvas table.

New substrate alert! We just got in these cool from Tri Art, in 8x10 and 4x4 sizes to start. This super smooth surface is wonderful for art pours, but also for painting on too!
