Innisfil Orthodontics ; Tel 705 431 --0027 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUR ORTHODONTIC PATIENTS Dear Patients/Parents,... I hope this message finds all of you healthy and well. These are difficult times for many of you and our thoughts and wishes go out to all of our patients, families and loved ones. In light of the current circumstances I want to provide everyone with some general guidelines and instructions on your orthodontic treatment. Please read through this carefully and try and find the situation that most fits your treatment. After reading the instructions below, if you have any questions or concerns about you or your child’s treatment please email me personally ([email protected]) . I will get back to all your queries in due course. I thank you for your patience. If your email can be as detailed as possible, that would greatly help me. You can also use our chat feature by visiting our website home page at www.innisfilorthodontics.com and clicking the green icon at the lower right. At this time, we do not know exactly when the restrictions will be lifted on dental offices. We are all hopeful that by May we will be able to begin seeing patients again. Please check your email for additional information during the month of April. Once we are given the go ahead, we plan to see you more frequently to try and make up for some lost time. For EVERYONE, one of the most important things to do regardless of this crisis, is to brush regularly three times a day (after breakfast lunch and before bed). Each brushing should take you 4-5 minutes (get a timer or play some songs that last 4-5 minutes). We definitely want you to come back with healthy teeth and gums. During extended stays at home, there will likely be lots of snacking and more acid attacks on your teeth with food getting caught near the gum line. Be careful what you eat to prevent breakages and problems. Remember, we aren’t permitted to see patients at this time unless its an ‘emergency’ which is currently being defined by our licensing body in very narrow terms. I assure you that being unable to see all of you is equally frustrating to me and our team. We thank you all for your understanding during these times. I only hope that we at least take this opportunity to reconnect at home with our children, spouses and loved ones.
