We are happy to learn that Canada Emergency Business Accounts (CEBA) have been expanded to include businesses with 2019 payroll between $20k to $1.5m. As they a...re not currently able to use CEBA, we will continue to fight for the inclusion of businesses who pay family members with dividends and brand new firms. We are also pleased to hear the announcement of a new support measure for businesses: Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance which will provide support to help small businesses with their rent for the months of April, May and June. We call on provinces to support federal efforts to reduce commercial rent expenses and will share more details on the new measure when they become available.
