Whether your dog goes for walks outdoors, visits dog parks, or spends time at a dog facility (doggie daycare, grooming salon, animal hospital, overnight kennel, training center, etc.), they are at risk of catching Kennel Cough.... Kennel cough is an air-borne and highly contagious virus for dogs. A vet visit is not usually required but there are some cases where a dog may need antibiotics. This is certainly to your discretion whether to seek vet attention or wait out the cold. This doggy cold is just like a human cold and sadly, even if your dog is vaccinated with Bordetella, they can still catch the virus. Signs your dawg might have Kennel Cough: Cough, Runny nose, Sneezing, Lethargy, Loss of appetite, and Low fever. If you do notice your dawg has any of these symptoms, please do not bring him/her to daycare, as it is highly contagious. We appreciate everyone's help in trying to keep all our pups healthy!
