Who could say no to this little guy? Tips for keeping him safe: *A common concern for hamster-owners is overfeeding! Do not overfeed your hamster--doing so could result in obesity or a disease such as diabetes. ... *Clean your hamster's cage once a week. Doing so will ensure that mold doesn't begin to grow due to the stored (and forgotten) food your hamster will leave around the cage. See more

Pets that are overweight are at risk for a myriad of health issues. Obesity is the number one nutritional disease seen in pets currently and studies have shown that being overweight or obese can shorten a dog or cat’s life span by as much as two years. Why? Being overweight or obese puts your pet at risk for joint disease, heart disease and diabetes, among other things. Download iPaws today on iPhone or iPad today and connect with a qualified and experienced veterinarian, for general advice on medical issues, counselling or vaccinations.

Natural Pet Foods carries an extensive line of all natural dry cat foods to meet the desires of just about any cat. Just some of the brands we carry include: Farmina, Fromm, Boreal, Acana, Orijen, Go!, Now, Primal, Stella & Chewy, Urban Feline, Honest Kitchen, Natural Balance, and many more. We also now carry an amazing veterinary diet from Italy, called Forza10. We spent years looking for the perfect veterinary diet to address issues like Renal Failure, Diabetes, Urinary Hea...lth, and Intestinal Issues but all of the veterinary diets we found in Canada had nasty ingredients like corn gluten, and by-products. Finally we came across Forza10 loaded with great all-natural ingredients, without any of the bad stuff! - - - - #dog #dogsofinstagram #dogs #puppy #dogstagram #instadog #pet #love #doglover #cute #dogoftheday #instagram #pets #doglovers #puppylove #doggo #puppies #ilovemydog #puppiesofinstagram #cat #doggy #cats #catsofinstagram #catstagram See more

It can be very difficult to tell when a cat is ill or injured. Cats are a predatory species, but they are also prey to many other species. Because of this, they hide weakness, illness, and injuries very well, and you may not know that they are in need of medical attention until their condition is severe. Signs that your cat may be sick include: -Hiding for extended periods (especially if they are usually social cats)... -Lack of interest in food or water -Urinating or defecating outside of the litter box -Limping -Open-mouth breathing (panting) -Vocalizations (such as yowling) If you notice any of these signs, make a call using iPaws immediately! - - - - #dog #dogsofinstagram #dogs #puppy #dogstagram #instadog #pet #love #doglover #cute #dogoftheday #instagram #pets #doglovers #puppylove #doggo #puppies #ilovemydog #puppiesofinstagram #cat #doggy #petemergency #sickpet

Important message!! Posted @withregram @uptowndawgpoco It's that time of year again! We have recently been informed that there have been multiple cases of kennel cough going around the tri-cities. Whether your dog goes for walks outdoors, visits dog parks, or spends time at a dog facility (doggie daycare, grooming salon, animal hospital, overnight kennel, training center, etc.), they are at risk of catching Kennel Cough.... Kennel cough is an air-borne and highly contagious virus for dogs. A vet visit is not usually required but there are some cases where a dog may need antibiotics. This is certainly to your discretion whether to seek vet attention or wait out the cold. This doggy cold is just like a human cold and sadly, even if your dog is vaccinated with Bordetella, they can still catch the virus. Signs your dawg might have Kennel Cough: Cough, Runny nose, Sneezing, Lethargy, Loss of appetite, and Low fever. If you do notice your dawg has any of these symptoms, please do not bring him/her to daycare, as it is highly contagious. We appreciate everyone's help in trying to keep all our pups healthy! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to talk with one of our team members or your local veterinarian. Thank you for your cooperation!

Keep Your Cats Indoor, When Possible According to the CDC - Centers For Disease & Prevention, there are a small number of pets worldwide that are reported to be infected with the viruses which cause COVID - 19. Mostly these situations are happening due to the close contact with the people who are having COVID - 19 disease. However, the risk of spreading COVID - 19 from animals to people is very low but treating your pet as a family makes you treat it as one amongst you.... So CDC have asked the pet owners to keep their pets inside as much as possible and make less contact with the outside people and if anyone is sick in your home then isolate that person from everyone - even pets. Pet paws are much more sensitive than they look. Therefore, if you take your pet out for a walk during the rainy days, make sure their paws are protected. Apply a thin coat of paw butter ( Vaseline + Coconut Oil makes a great DIY) before taking them out. #petcare #rainyday

#DidYouKnow The hearing of the average cat is at least five times stronger than that of a human adult. Cat hearing is extremely sensitive and can hear tones at much higher pitches than humans.
