The official courses are still to be revealed (stay tuned!), so we drew inspiration from the Penticton landscape for this workout, which focuses on building durability and power over rolling terrain. Workout Recommendation:... Complete your run today over rolling hills. The focus will be on building durability and power over rolling terrain. Warm Up 10 minutes easy Main Set Complete three tempo efforts over varying terrain. Each effort is an out and back. Accelerate on the downhill efforts to carry speed into the uphill just like riding a bike, you want to capture the momentum and connect the hills as much as possible. Shorten the stride as the hills grow in grade and use your arms swing to generate additional momentum and a lighter upper bodystand tall and proud as you maintain that powerful tempo pace over the crest of the hill and into the next downhill. Effort #1: 8 minutes | 4 minutes recovery Effort #2: 12 minutes | 5 minutes recovery Effort #3: 8 minutes | 4 minutes recovery Cool down as needed.

Celebrating IRONMAN Canada this week for the HOKA ONE ONE IRONMAN VR21 Pro Challenge! We return to the original course in Penticton, BC this week with an all Canadian professional athlete lineup. Our professional women race on Saturday starting with a 500M swim, a 40K bike on the iconic IRONMAN Canada course and 3K run on a course of their choice. Ride with the pros! RACE UPDATE As previously communicated, the IRONMAN Canada-Penticton triathlon cannot take place in 2020. We are pleased to confirm, that the 2021 IRONMAN Canada-Penticton triathlon will take place on August 29, 2021. Athletes that are registered for the 2020 race will receive an email with further details.

IMPORTANT RACE UPDATE Based on the mandate from the Province of British Columbia in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IRONMAN Canada - Penticton triathlon originally scheduled for August 30 cannot take place in 2020. We are working diligently on all potential options and further event updates will be communicated as soon as possible.
