Good Morning Iron Nation Family. As you know, Iron Nation Fitness and all other gyms in Alberta have been ordered to close their doors for 4 weeks starting 1 minute after midnight on Saturday December 12th. This is certainly not the way any of us imagined bringing in the Holidays and is a terrible blow to many of us in so many different ways, but it is the reality we are now faced with. During the last government ordered shutdown Iron Nation Fitness paused all existing mem...berships and passes and added months of additional time to members who had lost out due to quarantine. The bottom line is that if small businesses continue to pay out of pocket for these government ordered shutdowns there may not be any small businesses left when the lockdowns are over. In an effort to reduce the impact on our members and still ensure that we as a business are ready and able to open once lockdown is over we will be reducing all membership payments for the 4 week closure down to $15 dollars and members who recently purchased a 1 month no-contract will still have access upon reopening. We have had an incredibly touching amount of members reach out to offer up their support and request that their payments for this 4 week period continue as normal. It is something that we are so appreciative of but we do not feel we can accept. We do however urge all of you to support the small businesses around this beautiful community as much as possible in this time and show that we care about and support each other. If you still feel there is more you would like to do to support Iron Nation Fitness please feel free to contact us directly. As posted we have also extended hours for today Saturday December 12th and opened at 4AM and staying open until 10PM to allow our members to make the most of the last day. Attention Iron Nation Family. As many of you are already aware the city of Grande Prairie has enacted Bylaw C-1426 which makes the wearing of face masks/coverings in indoor public spaces mandatory. This bylaw includes Iron Nation Fitness and all other gyms in Grande Prairie and goes into effect today Monday October 26th 2020. This means you must wear a mask or face covering when entering Iron Nation Fitness and in all common areas (entryways, front desk, halls, changerooms &... smoothie bar). *You do not need to cover your face whilst physically exercising* Masks are also mandatory for all staff at all times. We encourage all of you to please visits the city of grande prairie website and follow up on what is classified as an appropriate face covering as you will find many types of covering are suitable and acceptable. We want to be clear with all of our members and guests that we have always had their best interests and health in mind when following the guidelines set forth by our government and want to remind everyone that this is a City of Grande Prairie Bylaw that we must follow and Not an Iron Nation Fitness policy or rule. Our primary job here at Iron Nation Fitness is to keep a safe and enjoyable space for all, this of course is only possible if we all work together to keep the facility open by following all temporary government regulations. We know you will all pull together like a family does and help us navigate through these tough times by helping us keep our wonderful facility open for everyone to enjoy. We want to remind you all that this is not an issue of what you believe, this is simply an issue of doing what is necessary to stay open.
