Without words, 6-year-old Sophia expresses her joy when surrounded by music. Not all heroes wear capes. Every time brothers Dane and Pete of Charlottetown, PEI, see an Irving Energy truck, they think it might be Donnie Myers, a Professional Driver who delivered propane to their cottage this summer. The pair are so enthralled with Donnie, we sent them a few surprises that just happened to arrive in time for their October birthdays.... To them, Donnie is the real hero, says their father Jon. Nés prématurément à 29 semaines, Jacob et sa sœur jumelle, Zoé, de Québec, ont commencé leur vie tout petits. Tandis que Zoé s’est développée normalement, Jacob pesant 2 lb, 5 oz à la naissance a reçu un diagnostic d’atrésie biliaire congénitale, maladie rare qui a entraîné une cirrhose de son foie et l’ostéoporose. Jacob et sa famille doivent se déplacer souvent pour des rendez-vous médicaux au CHU de Québec-Université Laval à Québec. C’est pourquoi le programme Faites ...le plein d’amour les a soulagés d’un poids. Toutes les petites choses s’accumulent , affirme Véronique, mère de Jacob et de Zoé. Ça fait vraiment une différence pour nous. Maintenant âgés de deux ans et demi, les jumeaux adorent danser et jouer dehors. La maladie de Jacob ne les arrête pas.
