We love wild mushrooms! Experiencing the versatility of these seasonal delicacies, we decided to provide a variety of dehydrated wild mushrooms for customers online, at the local farmers market and grocery retailers in Alberta.

"Nature alone is antique, and the oldest art a mushroom." --Thomas Carlyle The beautiful British Columbia provides wild edibles from March to October or November. On Vancouver Island, these wild edibles grow almost throughout the year, weather permitting, but the main producing time here is between September and February. Working in a clean-air environment is a bonus! Living in natural surroundings for months at times makes us respect and appreciate it. Of course, foraging co...mes with hard labor, numerous types of bugs, and hundreds of bug bites. Apart from the different creatures, you have to deal with rain, mud, hail, and sometimes even snow. You’d be crawling, falling, slipping, and sliding just for those edibles. It’s crazy some would say, but not us! We really enjoy wild foraging. Sustainability is our motto; there's no going around it. It is also important to know where and where not to harvest, to be far away from contaminating sources in the deep forests of Canada’s wild, wild west. Only the grizzlies, black bears, moose, deer, grouse with her little chicks, rabbits, birds, and a few animals are in the area where wild foragers are working. We respect our wilderness and leave it as it was before we set camp in itand with a bit less of the edibles after we moved on. See more
