Friday July 17,. 8:30 PM A few weeks ago I experienced the magic of all the fireflies on our beautiful Grand River On Friday July 17 please join me for a firefly walk at the Grand River, we will meet at Waterworks park at the end of Grand River Ave at 8:30 PM Wear your baby, bring a stroller ( bug net encouraged ) or come solo for some adult time , all welcome from your family We will still be conscientious about social distancing

Good evening everyone. I've started a new web platform for local artists and musicians to sell merchandise online in this time where shows and gigs are unavail...able to them. Among them are local artist Dave McCreary who as some of you already know.. or maybe you don't, created neighborhood logo's for a bunch of Brantford 'hood's. Among them is Holmedale (for those on the close South Western border, there is a Westdale one too). On the site there are t-shirts and stickers available. Five Oaks is proud to announce that we will be serving our community and contributing to food security this Spring as an isol...ation centre for Migrant Workers arriving to support Ontario’s agricultural growing season. This week we welcomed our first 40 guests to stay for their 14-day quarantine period. During these unprecedented times we are honoured to be able to leverage our resources of accommodations and food services to support Canada and help flatten the curve of COVID-19. In addition, we know that being on the sacred land of Five Oaks will bring these guests some peace and comfort while they are away from their own homes and loved ones. Five Oaks is following all guidelines set out by public health authorities to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
