A live recording of the Jazz Bistro in Toronto with our beloved Elizabeth Shepherd and Michael Occhipinti with drummer Davide Di Renzo. We have had the pleasure having these superb musicians on our stage and look forward to having them again in the future. Hope you enjoy!

Greetings from the Vernon Jazz Society Just a short note to let you know the Board of Directors is working diligently to bring back live music at the Vernon Jazz Club while staying within the Provincial Covid-19 Guidelines. We are anxious to show off our stage and equipment improvements. At this time we do not have a restart date scheduled but will post it as soon as we have something definite. It looks like it will be at least until October before we are able to book anythi...ng for the future. I would like to announce that our Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday October 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Vernon Jazz Club. All members are welcome as we will take new nominations for board members and elect a Board of Directors. Please be assured that all provincial guidelines will be followed. Very much looking forward to Elizabeth Shepherd's live concert tomorrow from the comfort of our homes! For those of you who attended her show at the jazz club in 2018, you know how special this will be... and for those of you who didn't, you now get a chance to hear her!

It is with great sadness that our Board of Directors feel it is necessary to postpone our remaining performances and cancel the rest of our Spring Season. All tickets purchased will be refunded in full as soon as it is physically possible. Our email for refunds is [email protected] . The Vernon Jazz Society Board of Directors feels that, for the health and safety of our volunteers, our valued patrons, and our performers, we must postphone the Saturday, March 21, 2020, Stephanie Pedraza performance. Our decision is not made lightly, however we base it on the following information. Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, and Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.'s provincial health officer, jointly stated on March 12, 2020: With the increasing transmission of COVID-19 at... mass gatherings and events, in addition to the escalating risk of community transmission, we must do our best to slow transmission of COVID-19 and protect our communities." Effective today, we also directing all event organizers to cancel any gathering larger than 250 people. This includes indoor and outdoor sporting events, conferences, meetings, religious gatherings or other similar events. This threshold has been selected, as it is much easier to maintain important social distancing to prevent transmission of COVID-19." Sold tickets will be fully refunded. Please contact us at [email protected] to access your refund. We appreciate your patience as we endeavour to distribute the refunds in a timely manner.
