Got the call last night from the Dustin Flundra our novice proposal passed its final hurdle . The cpra board voted on it and it passed!! SUPER HAPPY to see t...his idea come to fruition. I never thought that an idea that came to me after the lra committee meeting last winter would actually be embraced by so many people. Thank you to the Lakeland rodeo association , wildrose rodeo association, bcra and the cpra for adopting the proposal. This is a basic idea of how it will work. you can buy novice card in the cpra and buy a card in one of the three amateur associations posted above .your winnings at the amateur rodeos in the open events will count for your novice standings as well as the amateur association standings . RIMBEY WINTER RODEO NOV 28th Entries are Nov 16-20 MEMBERSHIPS- Memberships will need to be purchased before you are eligible to enter the rodeo. ... If you send in any membership forms, please give us up to a week to process. ENTRIES- You must complete the form that can be found on the webpage to enter. Please try and send an etransfer or a credit card number to pay your fees with your entry. This is to help us follow the COVID protocols and discourage a line up at the office and also to allow me to have payout done at the rodeo (not be tracking turn outs and nsf cheque’s down) You will receive a confirmation email once it’s received. FEES- Fees will be $100 for the Sr events and $60 for the Jr Events Payout will be 70%

Thorsby WRA Winter Rodeo Schedule November 8th 10am- Ladies Barrel Racing ... Jr Barrel Racing (Only 15 barrel racers in the back warm up area at a time) 12:00pm - Run timed event stock down arena 1pm - Breakaway Roping 1:30 - Tie Down Roping 2pm - Steer Wrestling 2:30pm - Team Roping 3:00pm - Bareback Riding Saddle Bronc Riding Bull Riding **approximate start times for each event. Your event will not start before the scheduled time. -You can only be in the back warm up pen during your event. -Please no tying horses in the back. -We will have warm up times between events if the weather is cold. $10 at the door for anyone wanting to come watch! We will be following Covid recommendations and keeping our spectator capacity to 100 people.

SOLD OUT Thanks everyone for the interest, glad to see Bronc riding is still so popular....I know I love it lol Saddle Bronc Riding School July 18-19, 2020... Attn: Young bronc riders with 0-50 head of bucking horses experience, Fallen Timber Rodeo Co is accepting only 5 students for a 2 day saddle bronc school in Sundre, AB. Get trained up or knock the rust off for the remaining summer rodeos! This school will be geared towards starting with success and building on it, quality horses suited for the young/inexperienced and potential new bronc riding cowboys. Bucking machine, class room, muscle memory building skills and a few broncs provided by Lawrence Pengally to give young men the base that they will be able to draw on during the ups and downs of their career. The idea is lots of 1on1 and the attitude needed to conquer this event in a shorter period! Admission $250 Quality horses, arena, pickup men, and chute help! Killing time waiting for rodeos Elmer the mule has a new job

Unfortunately, we must announce that the High Level Rodeo scheduled for June 6th and 7th, 2020 has been CANCELLED due to Covid-19. Gymkhanas have been P...OSTPONED pending government restrictions in place over the summer and the current pandemic situation. Also a reminder that the Spring Dance scheduled for April 25th has also been cancelled. Stay Healthy!!

The Ag. Society Board of Directors has made the decision to Cancel the 2020 Indoor Amateur Rodeo that was scheduled for April 25 & 26th due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the provincial order about public events and gatherings.
