Today is the day! We will see how this goes, since we are legally allowed to let people in again. There are (quite rightly) very strict guidelines for restaurants in NS re-opening for eat-in. One of those is that anyone wanting to eat in the restaurant will have to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering. And before they eat. I'll have sanitizer as you come in and I'll be scrubbing down the bathroom momentarily so you can feel comfortable washing your hands. We will be san...itizing table tops and chair tops/ sides as people leave so they will be ready for the next customers. All high touch areas like doorknobs and many others will be sanitized frequently. There will be limited seating to allow for social distancing. We will be wearing masks and ask that customers do as well, if possible. Not everyone can because of breathing issues and sensory issues and we understand that. If anyone would like contactless pickup or delivery and you're OK to pay by e-transfer, let us know when ordering and we will be happy to accommodate you. I can bring food out and pop it into your trunk for pickup. For deliveries, the driver can follow whatever instructions you give us on where to leave food. Our temporary hours will be 11:30am until 8pm Sunday to Thursday and 11:30am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday, takeout and delivery only. We may be forced at some point soon to close altogether but for now we are open. We are taking every precaution with hand-washing, mask-wearing and gloves. Except for myself as I can't find any large gloves at the moment so hand-washing until my skin is raw, essentially. But I love my job and I love my customers and I want to help the people who are in essential services as long as I can. They need to eat and don't always have time to make lunches.
