Today's reminder: Get your space in order! I am one day away from hosting my first Women's day retreat and I have just shy of a million things to finish up PLUS a speech to write still YIKES. I have spent my morning thus far spinning in circles, looking at dishes, and laundry and dog hair on the floor and being snippy at the humans I love the most in this world. It took me a bit but I did realize I was acting in a way that I have worked so hard to change. So, I stopped, rele...ased the tension in my jaw and shoulders, took and deep breath and made a plan. I decided I was going to spend 45 mins tiding up my house. Then, I am going to get cleaned up for the day and tackle the rest on the errands one at a time. For me, and perhaps you can relate, when my work pace or visual area is clutters my mind becomes cluttered. By dedicating time to tidy it up, I then can move forward and be WAY more productive and way less frazzled. Plus the work I produce will be of a higher quality because my mind is primed for success by already completing a task well. Today, look at your life and the areas that you feel frazzled in and see if you can do one task that will help you move forward in a productive way. Maybe you travel a lot for work or with kids for sports and find your vehicle is a mess therefore your always feel stressed in it. Set time in your day to tidy it up and create a plan to keep it clean: ie) a garbage bag kept in it that you take out every day and empty. You get my drift:) Tidy your space and you WILL tidy your mind.

Today's reminder: Give Thanks! We are heading into a weekend of giving thanks and what could be better than giving thanks to someone who has helped you on your journey? Maybe that is a minister, or a bff, or a friendly cashier at your local grocery store, or maybe it's your mom. The truth is even the toughest of us have had help along the way. Maybe you have even been lucky enough to have had someone reach out with a gesture that to them maybe seemed simple, but to you was th...e light that got you through that dark day. I remember one year when money was super tight a friend from hockey bought my daughter (who was 2 at the time) a pair of Christmas pj's. I had always bought new jammies for the kid for Christmas eve but that year I only had the money for the older boys and figured my daughter was only 2 and she wouldn't notice. This friend was SO excited to give her pj's that matched her daughters and said she just couldn't resist. She didn't know how broke I was. She didn't know I had cried myself to sleep because I felt like a loser. She did know I had asked God why he didn't give my children to someone else who could do better for them. She didn't know that I would still hold that memory in my heart as one of my fav moments 10 years in the future. She, bless her sweet heart saw cute jammies and felt Bella had to have them and then insisted I had to send her a picture of her in them:). Thank you dear soul for being my light on that dark day. May we all be humble enough to accept help from others in time where there seems to be no light, and may we BE the light for others in times when we feel we more than enough light to share. Happy Thanksgiving y'all ~Jen
