We had a wonderful stay at @rivernestwilderness cabins this weekend. We had such a nice welcome and a little something special in our room for our anniversary (thanks @milessmith14 ) It is worth going off the beaten track to do a some #glamping in Cape Breton! It is roughing it in style!

This weekend @dmossphotos and I had a #capebretonstaycation Our first stop was in Bras d’Or to buy freshly picked strawberries from Rendell Farms’ hut. We then headed to Margaree, where we had breakfast sandwiches and takeout chicken sandwiches @dancing_goat We stopped at @vc.creates on Main St. in Baddeck, where they feature artwork from over 100 local artisans. It was worth stopping in, I bought two bracelets, of course! We discovered the fabulous gift shop @gaeliccollege... and the fact that they serve delicious breakfast and lunch Monday to Friday...future stop for sure! We had a wonderful stay @rivernestwilderness cabins for our anniversary! Well worth it!!! Breakfast was @the_clucking_hen_cafe_ and late lunch was @coastalrestaurantingonish which never disappoint. Whenever we are in #ingonish , we ALWAYS stop @cafebeanbarn We made lots of stops along the way...me walking and exploring the beaches and reading, while @dmossphotos took lots of promising photos. The weather was quite variable from sun to fog and rain and back to sun, never a surprise in Cape a Breton! Of course, we now travel with our @jennifercreates.jennmoss Cape Breton mugs for morning coffee and tea! While everything seems out of control on the planet, things are quiet at home. I am not rushing to do all my regular stuff that I do all the time. I am walking and doing yoga every day, I leisurely do a load of laundry and some housework, I cook when I want and I have time to make healthy meals. Regardless of each person’s personal situation, there is a good chance that life has slowed down.
