It is important to understand the difference between a chequing account and a savings account! As a general rule, savings accounts yield interest but are limited in the number of withdrawals during the statement period. A chequing account typically offers an unlimited number of withdrawals and checks but does not yield interest.

Happy Canada Day! How are you celebrating our magnificent country today?
Question: What do I charge for bookkeeping? What is my hourly rate? Answer: I do not charge an hourly rate, and heres why. The biggest issue with hourly billing is you have no idea how much the job will be until the bill is received. I dont think that is fair on you. I think you deserve to know in advance how much the job will cost and what it entails. As a modern & progressive bookkeeper, I work with my clients to develop a package specifically tailored to their needs resulting in a fixed monthly price based on those needs.

Question: "What services do I offer?" Answer: My services can be as basic as entering receipts or as progressive as cash flow management. I offer payroll processing services, accounts receivable/payable monitoring and/or doing those transactions for you, personal tax filings, and cash flow forecasting. I work with restaurants, retail stores, non-profits, sole proprietors, and small to medium sized corporations. Together we can design a package specific to your needs.
Since Covid has hit our normal interaction with people face to a face has changed. Virtual meetings are a must, who needs to sharpen their skills when presenting virtually? I know I do!!

Is covid quarantine getting to you? Check out some quick tips from Steve Kushman acknowledging and squashing the little voice that could be weighing you down.
Shelly Hartz this answers our conversion from yesterday, its Iike they knew we were talking about it. EDIT**this pertains to employees who are being asked to return to work now that the government has began the phases of reopening the province, not for employees whos jobs are still closed due to Covid19. So if you employer is part of the next 5 phases to reopen and the employee decides to not return to work, this article is stating that is not allowed and if you continue to collect CERB because you dont want to return to work you may be asked to return the CERB funds. https://www.narcity.com//who-can-apply-for-cerb-if-youre-c

The CERB payments have been updated to include dividends as income but it means no draws from your Corp for the duration of the CERB.
