CHAGOR ALONG WITH THE CABINET AND OTHER OFFICIALS VISITED THE DYKE ================================== March 30, 2021 ... A team led by Governor Chagor have this morning visited the dyke. He called upon national government, well wishers, and NGOs to further extend their usual support as the government is working to mobilize resources to construct a permanent dyke. Chagor was accompanied by Advisors, Ministers and other officials. It's indicated that the level of water has shown little improvement; however, Governor said that a parmanent dyke need to be constructed to avoid future recurrent. He concluded that building permanent dyke requires time and resources; however, the State's government is determined to use the little resources available until a permanent dyke is built. Today being the last day or the dateline for the fundraising of Adoor Athiei Chol Ameng medical aid. The management of JWU, together with their potential loving donors are grateful that seriousness has been exercised in the course of this struggle. Family members related to Athiei both in USA, Australia and Canada have put in some special support by standing solidly with JWU. We may not have met the cost required for medication but we are optimistic, together with family members that Adoor will go through success. We shall close our fundraiser today.
