Happy Monday All! 2019 was an incredible year for me. I learned more about my home than I could have imagined; the history of our oil industry, the unfolding climate crisis, the challenges we are facing, and about Calgarians. I learned that there are (hundreds of) THOUSANDS of people in Alberta, the conservative province I was born in, that share my views on the world. I met hundreds of them, amazing, dynamic mothers and doctors and social workers, brothers and teachers and... student union presidents, filmmakers, architects, chocolate makers and students.... everyday people that get it, that care, that aren’t afraid to stand for what’s right. I feel lucky to in your company. It was also a hard year, hours invested, unkindness endured, sleepless nights, families divided, tears shed, elections results not what we hoped for. But I’m dancing into 2020 optimistic, inspired and ready to embrace the next challenge. I have some ideas about what the next year will bring, and I’m looking forward to sharing. After all, the planet still needs us! THANK YOU for your support, for your likes, for your kindness. I could have done any of this without you. and never let the bastards get you down.
