Finally I got my first keratin treatment! Why didn't I make time for this sooner?!?! My hair is naturally curly and frizzy. I usually have to blowdry and flat iron...but not anymore! This silky, smooth and shiny hair dried in half the time using only a paddle brush! KERATIN TREATMENTS FOR THE WIN!!!

Happy almost New Year! Let's hope 2021 is more promising for us all. Thank You for your support in 2020. It was all of YOU who helped us to keep our doors open. We were blown away by the offers of financial assistance, gifts, words of encouragement and referrals. So much so, we actually cried many many times in awe and appreciation xoxoxoxo We now need and are able to look for a new stylist to join our team! You may be a student ready to graduate, a stylist who took some time off in 2020 and is ready to get back into the salon or a stylist needing a new home. Whatever the case may be, we have space for your (FULL TIME) fresh start! We are looking for a driven, mature (in age and/or personality!), talented, career minded, self motivated stylist to join our team. We are also looking for someone who is Covid aware... and will adhere to our strict sanitation protocols/behaves in a socially conscious way. If you are a new stylist, we will provide advanced training and we also provide business coaching to all stylists who join our team. Our salon has a great reputation and is in the cutest little market, located in the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. We will be moving into a brand new, bigger location (still within the market) sometime in 2021. We have a team who supports each other, are super stinking busy and will help you to grow your business. Our salon was built on philanthropy so you must have values that align with our mission to give back. We use Affinage colour (currently there are TONS of awesome educational webinars being offered but, when it is again possible, they will be providing in salon training too) and we can have the educators work with any new stylist to get them up to speed on this amazing line out of the UK. We are flattered by this testimonial! Thanks for introducing @Tara Main's salon that's in such an awesome location & the harmonious vibe amongst the stylists. Shelley mindfully texted me in advance to ask for what style & colour I wanted.... At the appointment, Shelley took extra care to ensure I didn't have an adverse reaction to peroxide by doing a patch test. Shelley was professional yet personable throughout. She made her suggestions but followed very closely what I preferred. I must say it's the least wrangling hassle with colourists & stylists I've ever experienced! How cool is this? Our waste diversion company has a new PPE PROGRAM! Given the new safety measures put in place, our salons have a lot of contaminated waste from gloves and masks that need to be repurposed safely. We have created a PPE bin that will house all of this material. This material will go through a waste-to-energy stream and will be used to create CLEAN energy.

They are part of the solution and helping us being a light to this economy. At our companies this is what we have done to show appreciation and keep their safety as a top priority:... - Awarded an extra bonus of $500 to every single essential worker. - Provided increased salary rates to employees working on the weekends as well as second and third shifts. - Implemented new processes for social distancing like every worker must be 6ft apart. - We distributed protective gear like masks and gloves. - implemented sanitization for production and distribution facilities with nano particle formula, using CDC and EPA approved guidelines. - Have full time nurses on premises doing temperature checks. - In addition to their standard paid time off. An employee gets up to 14 days PAID leave if gets COVID19. Or if someone in their household or even a co worker of someone on their household gets COVID-19. The same benefit goes to employees that were in close contact during work. - Provide lunches every week (which are ordered from small local restaurants) - We have filled an additional 100 jobs since March to keep demand and help maintain the safety of employees with social distance measures by adding extra shifts. Dr. Henry has recently given the order that all personal services businesses are to remained closed until May 31st (subject to change). When we receive word that we are able to re-open, priority will be given to those who already had appointments booked at the time we were ordered to close. In a time of uncertainty for many small businesses, we would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Lonsdale Quay Management Corp and their team. We have been hearing horror stories of dealings with unreasonable and unhelpful commercial landlords during this time of forced business closures and decreased revenues. The team from the Quay has gone above and beyond in offering assistance, working out ways in which they can decrease costs for tenants during this time ...and keeping us informed as to any and all benefit programs in which they can apply for in order to pass rent relief onto the small businesses (mostly mom and pop owned) that they lease space to. In fact, the Quay Property Management Corp and the team have always worked with us to support and grow our business. Our fellow merchants have also been some of our biggest fans (and we love them too!) We are feeling seriously blessed to be a part of something bigger than us...a beautiful market, full of beautiful food/flowers and more, owned and run by beautiful people with heart.
