Because things are tough...

Yo all, here is an important update about the health authority Covid-19 mandatory screening thats coming as soon as November 11th to a depot near you, what to expect and some of the answers. Appropos of nothing else, there are also extra features, aka spellbinding and tantalizing tidbits of info, near the end of the vid. Stay till the end creds.

So, the VTC Social Club is putting up their quarterly event today (Wed Sept 16) 11:00 to 16:00... And rather than a BBQ in confined spaces, and to promote social distancing, they came up with this. Its certainly flashy. I'm not sure you can read it from space, but its for sure a crowd catcher. Anyway, its something different, for which they need to be commended, and its the committee putting up grub. If you are in the area... food!

I had the priviledge of being first at VTC to donate to the 2020 United Way Campaign. I always donate, but this year I got to be first. Its such an important thing , only a few dollars per pay period, and it helps so many so much. During this year's signup, look for your United Way volunteers at all depots. Thank you, Tracy Milne and Balkar Sandhu, for what will be a hard month's work.

I am generally not all positive and happy, not a feel good, warm and fuzzy kumbaya singer.. but I saw this and agree... especially for us. If you leave people thinking drivers are awesome when they get off your coach, they will believe it till they get on a coach driven by an a-hole. Dont be the a-hole in the equation. You owe it to your Sisters and Brothers to pay that shit forward.

Mandatory Masks... how mandatory is that really? Well there will be more info for sure, but most of it will look like this... except maybe less facetiousness from me. Ask questions if you have them, but this should be pretty simple.

Friday update to Thursday's barrier/shield update

Shields... yup, lets talk about shields.

So tomorrow (Monday May 18th) is a Stat Day... if you were off on the original draw for the April sheet, you are again. Check with the depot if you arent sure. If you are working, make sure its your Stat Work (signed for the original April sheet) and not your regular Monday work. And turn off your alarms. But for the love of ol' Victoria turn them back on. Sleepers/AWOLs abound during Stat weekends.
