This case shows a very natural looking result for one of our patients with heavy wear due to grinding. In order to be as conservative as possible, some short term Invisalign (5 months) was done followed by crowns and some white fillings. This has restored the teeth to a proper overlap to save from wear in the future.

The single crown in the front can be very difficult to match. Here we added white filling material to make the two front teeth equal width, some minor gum surgery (which will continue to heal well), and a nicely shaded crown. We hope everyone has a great weekend!

A before and after from today showing what can be done in a single visit at our office! Old failing silver fillings were replaced with conservative white fillings and one in-office crown. No temporaries or 2nd appointment!

A case showing some possibilities in restoring proper function and esthetics with heavily worn teeth. This was done on one of our wonderful elderly patients and it involved some short term orthodontics followed by crowns on the upper teeth and regular white fillings on the bottom.

We've upgraded the old film style x-rays to the new digital versions! Check out the picture to see the new (large picture) and old x-rays (small film at top) to compare. The size of the sensor used in the mouth is shown on the top right. A fun case we finished today with a great result. Two front teeth that had worn short over time. Two conservative veneers cemented along with some mild laser recontouring of the gumline (shown in top picture). Top(before) and bottom(after). Veneers can be a conservative way to restore function and esthetics. Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone had a great long weekend! Here's a little before and after photo of our new pan x-ray and renovated room. Pan x-rays (example shown) are a great way to diagnose problems associated with the roots of teeth that won't normally show up on a traditional "bitewing x-ray". They are also needed as a cancer screening tool in the jaw bone and detecting abnormalities in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), sinuses, and carotid arteries. These x-rays are very beneficial ...during child development to detect missing teeth, blocked out or impacted teeth, and developmental abnormalities. They are also used to determine the position and difficulty in wisdom teeth as some of these extractions can be done at our office without sedation. We're excited to be able to provide this service! We recommend a pan x-ray be taken every 3-5 years. This is stage 1 of a many-stage renovation and we appreciate your patience during this process!
