The Ontario government has announced that the province will be moving into lockdown starting December 26th. Here's what you need to know as a part of the Junction community: Starting December 25th, we will be closed for climbing. Time slots until December 24th will remain available for booking. Reservations made for December 26th and beyond will be cancelled. With the lockdown, we will also be freezing all remaining active memberships effective December 25th. This will be app...lied to anyone who has not already requested a freeze to their account. If you have already emailed us to freeze, it will be processed as of your request date. During the closure, our pro shop will be open in some capacity for curbside pickup - hours and more information will be announced soon. In this difficult time, we'd like to thank you for the support you have given us since our reopening. We are confident that our community will get through this second wave. It's not 'goodbye', it's 'see you later'. From our Junction family to yours, have a happy and safe holiday season!

Today the MLHU released new directives regarding fitness activities. We are proud to note that many of the requirements are actions we had already taken, including instructor's wearing masks and small group ratios. We are reviewing today's announcement and will announce further changes if they are necessary.

We've noticed some...inconsistencies with the bookings we've been receiving. To help you get the climbing slot you want, please scroll to check out the five most frequent errors we see. Things to note: - Day Pass bookings are ROUTES ONLY. At this time we simply do not have the capacity to host more climbers upstairs and we fill up almost every boulder slot available well in advance. - Make sure you choose the right type of climbing. There is still no bouldering on Mondays whi...le we reset. However, every Monday we happen to get boulders coming in for the wrong day. Double check what date and time you've booked for! - Booking for a friend? Please know the name and birthdate on their waiver. If you don't, let them book for themselves. Our system automatically suggests your booking be paired to your waiver but if you get that info wrong, a new customer profile is made. We know you weren't born in 2020 so check that birthdate! Hyphenated last name? Recently transitioned? We don't mind what you want to be called just make your booking name match your waiver - MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM YOUR BOOKING. If you do not scroll all the way down to click that "confirm" button and you don't see the green bar and receive a confirmation email, YOU'RE NOT BOOKED IN. If you're ever unsure about whether you're actually booked, give us a call and we'll check it out for you: 519-438-1717 We hope this clears up some of the issues we've been seeing and everyone gets in the climbing they want

The setting squad has put up another great round of boulder problems this week on Mt. Crushmore. Dynamic, technical, you name it and we've got a fun problem for you! Book your session well in advance to ensure a spot. No room at the boulder? We'll be setting routes all week too so stay tuned...

We've got another resource for you from our Diversity and Inclusivity Committee! Recently, you may have seen or heard about conflict on the east coast of Canada surrounding Mi'kmaq fishing rights. We decided that it's a good time to share this film which focuses on environmental racism in Nova Scotia. Too often BIPOC are on the receiving end of harmful environmental decisions when the land in their communities is polluted. It's important that we understand how BIPOC are disproportionately affected and stand up for their rights to clean water and a healthy planet too!

Ladies Night is back this Fall for one time only! Registration must be done in advance and there are separate sign-ups for guests and members. All participants can utilize routes or bouldering during the timeslot. Please check out our event page for more info and sign-up.

We're offering a NEW late night bouldering timeslot starting Monday October 19th! Booking for the first slot will open exactly one week in advance (October 12th), the same as all our other bookings, and run on Mondays and Tuesdays for the foreseeable future. The timeslot runs from 11pm to midnight so it's a bit shorter than the typical bookings. The front door will be fully locked after 11:15pm so arrive on time! When registration opens it will be on our website under the "member/punch pass booking" button on our homepage. Late night bouldering is for MEMBERS ONLY.
