Back at it this afternoon with a mother/daughter session

Happy March 1st All!! Hopefully we are starting our Spring After School Programs on April 12th...Covid permitting and weather permitting Programs for youth beginning April 12th... We are offering programs teaching life skills and teamwork . Youth will come once a week, the day of your choice, there are 8 participants/session, $40/session and ages are 6+. Programs will run 3:30-5pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We do not ride but it will allow them to become acquainted and work with horses on the ground Come join us for some fun

Wednesday's crew had their last day. So much fun and lots of hot chocolate and cookies were eaten See you in the spring ladies!

Wrapping up our last week of After School means hot chocolate, cookies and a little ride. This is my Monday crew and much fun was had by all....even me

So many stories on Mondays...these two keep me entertained

Started off our After School program with these two smiling faces I thought school might tire them out...not a chance They were ready to roll and aced the brushing and exercises!

We had such a great time with these two teacher/parents Carla and Darren practiced communication and Maggie helped them learn about horses. We had so much fun!! If you are fortunate enough to have either Carla or Darren George as a teacher for your child , ask them about their experience

Camps are finished for the summer...we wrapped it up with our 5 year olds We had so much fun and I am very thankful to have gotten these camps in this summer, spending time with kids and horses was great for the soul Thank you all! We are now pointed to our After School Programs...starting September 14th. Our Fall After School Programs are ready to start Monday September 14th and hopefully we are going to get to run all 12 weeks Mon-Thurs- 3:30-5pm Each week we meet a different objective and as always we have lots of fun... This is also a great starter program if your child is thinking about taking riding lessons in the future. We learn lots about the horse and everything is done on the ground. Two more camps finished and one left to go The kids are learning so much this year and they are having a great time doing it! Margaree (RVEC) thank you so much for hosting us this summer...full camps and great campers This last camp got some extra learning when we happened upon the farrier and Chris was so great, answering their questions and demonstrating things for us(we kinda ambushed him haha. ) To Corky and Chip my heart thanks you...you are rockstar horses! Hopefully we can come back next year!! Here's a few pics

Another camp finished It was hot for two of the days but we managed to learn lots and have loads of fun working as a team amd learning all about our horse! Next up Aug 4,5,6. Check out the smiles on these cute campers!

We had a great camp in Margaree, so great I was too tired to post these pictures yesterday We had a great bunch of campers who learned lots in 3 days! I also learned a few things..what a "spork" is and "non bread" They had a great time with the exercises and teamwork and communication were no problem for them! We also ran an adult's session that was loads of fun! The laughing was non stop and they too learned all forms of communication...thank you guys for coming and see you in August Next kids camp in August is full!

Week one of camp done and what a busy week it was There are very few pictures due to trying to keep up to these kids! We learned about social distancing and did it as much as we could, we learned to sign in and sign out, we learned to sanitize and we still had loads of fun. We're pretty excited to start this week by announcing that we are going to travel a little this summer... We are headed to Margaree RVEC to run two summer camps July 16, 17, and 18th Aug 13, 14, and 15th... Days run from 11am-3pm Bring your own lunch Limit of 8 participants Bring a helmet $150 for the 3 days No horse experience is necessary and is open to ages 7 and up. What a beautiful day in alot of ways. Our first day and I was so happy to have these young ladies back, and they were very happy to be back They never missed a beat and remembered everything they learned and surprised me at how much better they were at their skills. Today the "new normal " was perfect

We are ready Starting next week June 17th we are going to run limited in person lessons on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. We are going to limit participants per session and we will add more afternoons if we have to. We have all the health protocols in place - we will have a hand sanitizing/hand washing station, we will run all exercises outside unless it is raining and then we will be in the arena with the door open and I will wear a mask. We will not be going in the... barn area and all equipment will be sanitized between lessons. We will also be practicing social distancing and learning it too If you are looking for an outdoor activity for your children, we would love to have them This is a great program if your children haven't gotten back to riding lessons yet or are thinking about taking lessons in the future. WE ARE GOING VIRTUAL Starting Tuesday May 19th we have decided to offer our programs virtual and we are so excited!! We have done some test programs by way of Zoom and they have all met the objectives and been alot of fun. We are going to start with our "After School" programs at 3:00 Mon-Thurs. This is interactive screen time parents...the horses and I will entertain your children for an hour and they will learn some very important skills!... This also allows us to expand...you do not have to live within driving distance of us. You can be anywhere in the country to tune in and be a part of our virtual team!! We use Zoom to connect- you do not have to download Zoom . I simply send you an invite to my meeting and we are set to go! The horses and I are looking forward to having you join us

UPDATE*****So sorry we have to cancel this spring after school session. The horses are all isolating and they hope you are all well and staying home as much as possible As of right now we are hoping for summer camps (maybe in June) and we will keep you all updated. Week 1- Building Relationships Week 2- Skill Development and Team Work Week 3 - Problem Solving Week 4 - Focus Week 5- Negotiation Week 6- Choices Week 7- Body Language Week 8 - Team Building and Leadership Programs will run 3:30-5pm . Absolutely NO horse experience is necessary...we can even work with a little fear This is experiential learning at its finest and a great way to learn skills, we parallel all lessons learned to how they can be used in daily life.
