We will be doing some trail work on the West side trails this morning in Pineview. The vehicles parked on lac le jeune road are not riders, we are hiking into the area to do Spring maintenance. Enjoy your day, it's going to be a good one!

TRAIL REPORT - PINEVIEW A reminder that the trails West of the Kinder Morgan pipeline are currently closed for the Springtime Cattle Grazing Period. That is, ALL the trails on the West side, including Lockie Lake Lane, Fitness Test, Spin Cycle, Hard Rock, Rock n Roll, Mine, Stubby, Blaze, Bangers, Shep's, Boot Chute, Crankn Cujo, Bobble, No Mayo, High Iron, Low Iron, Triple Lumen, the entire Iron Mask Area, I think you get the picture. You will note that the Lac le Jeune pa...rking area has four large concrete barriers blocking the entrance, they will be removed May 1st when the West side opens, please don't park beside the barriers and hop the fence. The barriers, closed gate and Trail Closed signs are pretty clear. If you truly love the Pineview network we need to respect the landowner's wishes and stick to the East side trails or we risk losing access to this wonderful area. Gates are locked and signed so there are no more excuses. Just don't.

With the riding season well underway we would like to remind everyone to respect the homeowners in the various neighborhoods leading to trailheads. We have received several complaints today from homeowners on Hugh Allan about speeding vehicles (with bikes ) going into and out of the parking lot. Please show some respect. Thanks.

TRAIL REPORT - PINEVIEW With the warmer weather in the forecast and reports from our trail crew, we are opening the trails on the East side of the network effective tomorrow, April 9th. Please note that Miner 29'er and Huffy Puffy still have some very wet and muddy areas so we would ask that you give them a few days to dry out. If you create a rut, stop and fix it, don't ride outside of the trail bed, if it is that wet turn around and hit the lower trails. A reminder the ...trails on the West side of the Kinder Morgan pipeline are CLOSED until May 1st. The gates are locked so please say out of this side of the network. This includes the access by the Weigh Scales. KPCC maintenance crews will be working doing trail maintenance on the West side over the next three weeks and we really don't want to see bikes on that side during the closure. Please don't, let's respect the landowner's wishes, the trails over there will be open soon enough. Thanks and Happy Trails! See more

Trail Report. Pineview will be a while yet, still snow and ice in a lot of sections. Trails are a combination of dry, mud, snow and ice. Ground is still frozen in lots of areas. Stay tuned but expect it to be a couple more weeks before anything is rideable.

The snow is falling quick and heavy tonight! Fatbikers rejoice for the conditions to follow at Isobel Lake.... but it does require lots of grooming and infrastructure to make it happen. Kamloops Physiotherapy has kicked us off with their very generous $1500 donation but we really need the community support to keep this trail network (and Pineview Trails) running smooth and fun in 2020/2021. We are very close to our goal of $3000 but still have a little ways to go! Etransfer [email protected] or drop cash in person to the Bicycle Cafe here in Kamloops

Thank you very much to the KBRA and their Membership for the generous support for the KPCC trail networks. A kind donation has been made today of $500 from the club. These funds will go towards our trail maintenance budget for the Harper and Pineview networks for the 2021 season!

TRAIL REPORT - Pineview With the latest snowfall and the current long term forecast, it would appear that Winter has arrived. Effective November 11th, the Pineview Trail Network will be closed to the public for the Winter season, this includes both the East and West sides of the network. Just a reminder, the access is closed to all recreation including mountain biking, fat biking and hiking/trail running. The trails will reopen again once Springtime conditions allow. Thank you for your support.

The KPCC would like to acknowledge a generous donation from the Bicycle Cafe Kamloops, who donated the entire proceeds of their recent Bicycle Café Kids Camp he...ld at the Kamloops Bike Ranch directly back into Bike Ranch projects and operations. The camp was attended by 18 excited riders coached by local legends Dylan Sherrard, Matt Hunter, Matt Miles, Justin Ralston, Shawn and Kiera Melnechuck and Johnny Helly, who volunteered their time for these kids. A special thanks also to Mostly Mental Shuttles for donating and repairing the shuttle in a pinch! Also, big thanks to CLIF Bar for the fuel needed to keep these rippers flying. And finally, many thanks to the parents, who trusted our COVID restrictions, and brought their kids to camp to keep them shredding. The Bicycle Café donated camp proceeds of $3,500.00 to the KPCC, targeted for the Kamloops Bike Ranch. Funds have already been spent on all the wonderful upgrades happening at the Ranch. We’d also like to acknowledge the hard work of KPCC employees Brad Stuart and Cody Chambers, who have been working hard everyday since April in the Bike Ranch , to keep the magic happening! The KPCC is so fortunate to have the support of our riding community to keep the networks we manage: The Kamloops Bike Ranch, Pineview Trail Network, Harper Mountain Trail Network and the Isobel Winter Trail Network, ready to ride for all. Thank you to all the riders who have reached out and requested we continue the fundraiser past the original goal set by Kamloops Physiotherapy. Local riders ha...ve suggested we try to double the goal amount to $3000. Funds will go directly back to maintaining and upgrading the trails in the Isobel and Pineview trail networks. Kicking this off local rider Leif Ernst came in with a $500 donation. Amazing! So much appreciation for all the donors from the KPCC! Thanks to everyone making great things possible in the Kamloops riding community. Etransfer [email protected] today or drop cash donations off at the Bicycle Cafe at 1012 Victoria Street during business hours See more

Trail Network Update - Pineview We have been notified that work on the Trans Mountain Pipeline will be starting some time over the next thirty days along the corridor in Pineview. We do not know at this point what trails will be affected. There will likely be some temporary closures at the two pipeline crossings. We will update again once we have a set date. Thanks.

We can all agree that these are new and anxious times, especially for locally owned businesses, with the uncertainties around the pandemic. That is why the KPCC is so especially grateful to accept a sponsorship cheque for the continued maintenance of the Pineview Trail Network in the amount of $2500.00 from Kamloops Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre. Always support our local businesses as they work so hard to support our community. Thank you!!
