I spent the morning talking about Maternal Mental Health with the Mom and Baby group at Nurturing Health Naturalpathic Clinic. Groups like this are so important for parents with babies! I appreciate the opportunity to be apart of this program.

Sobriety, addiction, and stress are difficult bed mates. The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to ou...r lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression. Crisis service Canada has a 24 hour helpline: 833-456-4566. Please could any two of my Facebook friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide? Just two. Any two. Say done. See more

If you're stuck in quarantine with a toxic or abusive partner, message me about my handmade soaps (I don't have any) and I will know to continually check in on you. If you ask me about BUYING my soaps (I don't sell any) and include a shipping address, I will know to contact the police. There has been an increase in domestic violence cases since this quarantine. Please don't be afraid to reach out.... If you're willing, put something similar on your wall. Strength in numbers. This is someone in a mutual groups status that I've copied and pasted. This isn't just something I thought was neat to share. If you need help, please reach out to me. Thanks Leslie Kohare for the post to share.

I love my old neighbourhood in Vancouver! Every night at 7pm residents stand on their balconies and applaud front line workers; a simple act of kindness that brings people together (even when they are isolated) to share their gratitude.

There has been a lot of discussion regarding the best approach to explaining the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing to children. This is a very gentle and honest explanation. Thanks for sharing Taylor Ann

Welcome! And thanks for checking out my page! I thought I’d share some of the things I’ve been doing to keep myself busy and upbeat during this ‘health and safety holiday’. One thing I always encourage my clients to do when they are in need of a distraction, or are feeling overwhelmed, is to take control of their environment. ... I decided to take my own advice and clean out my pantry... (truthfully, a decision I almost immediately regretted once I had pulled everything out). Although I neglected to take my other little tidbit of advice; start with a something small, I crossed a significant chore off my list that I had been meaning to do for ages, and I’m feeling quite accomplished! I decided to post a picture of the before-and-after for a couple of reasons: 1. I’m quite pleased with the end result. 2. Most importantly, I decided to challenge my humiliation and be vulnerable, despite my embarrassment at the original state of my pantry. Remember that all good therapy starts with the willingness to be vulnerable!
