This podcast with Pain Care U Neil Pearson is everything. I mentored with Neil in 2019/2020 and every time I get the chance to ask him more questions I’m blown away once again. My interest in pain science has only expanded since this professional training and I’m always so happy to have Neil as a teacher.... If you are interested in pain education you must listen to this podcast. Click the link https://mindfulstrength.ca/neil-pearson-2021/ to find the Mindful Strength Podcast on my website. Or you can find the podcast on your favorite podcast app (like Spotify or Apple). A big thank you to Neil for having this conversation and always peaking my interest in this topic.

I recently interviewed Neil Pearson (Pain Care U) for my podcast and we continued the conversation on pain and the biopsychosocial perspective. I mentored with Neil in 2019 and I appreciate his work so much, every time I talk to him I learn something new. If you are interested in pain education you will definitely want to listen to this interview. https://mindfulstrength.ca/neil-pearson-2021/

No this isn’t slow motion. I love these types of slow loaded movements, the type where you go through so much range it takes nearly a minute to do one rep. A few days ago a friend told me their abs felt really jacked up (not in a good way) and it was affecting their breath. They had been doing a lot of HIIT and crunches.... I offered that maybe they just needed some more range. We wouldn’t take our biceps to end range flexion and only train them there, so why do we do this with our abs? Abdominal and trunk work through a wider range is so interesting. Rather than pumping it out through a tiny range what happens when we extend our core work through a big range? What happens to our breathing, and to our natural core tone? This was the theme of my live class today. Relax the core, calming breathing, then explore this movement and engage as needed. This approach actively pushes back at all the navel to spine and shrink your tummy messaging. If these themes are interesting to you click here and start a 14 day free trial you can take my class live or any time https://mindfulstrength.ca/cou/mindful-strength-membership/ This class will also be up in the class library later tonight, so you can catch it later if you want. We always record and upload the live classes. And they look and sound great which means they are easier to follow. See you in class, your core will thank you!
