Slow and steady

For those of you that don't already know I love pregnancy and birth. I am currently studying to be a certified doula, breast feeding consultant, child birth educator, and though the massage certification I already have taught me prenatal massage this new program I am taking through Madriella also covers prenatal massage. The child bearing year is such a complex time. It is full of joy and wonder, but it can also come with many challenges. It is my hope to help woman face those challenges with ease.

massage can help release stress and unresolved issues that have been hidding in your body as aches and pains. Taking time for a massage can be like taking time to meditate. It is nice to talk during a massage, but it can be even more healing if we turn inward with our breath as we release our troubles we have been holding onto.

Depression is becoming more and more common, and the cause is unique for each individual. Its an incredibly challenging issue because it can just pop up at any time and hold onto you for an unknown amount of time. And it affects everyone differently. Helping with depression is one of my favourite benefits of massage. It is something everyone can benefit from. I love how this image words it as "taking time", as in decisively choosing to take time for yourself! Even just the act of choosing to take time for yourself can give you such a boost. Choosing to get a Massage as time for yourself just also has physiological effects that help relieve depression even more <3

Hi folks! Sorry I have been gone for so long! My new son Honovi has been my main focus the last two and a half months he was born June 6th, at 1:06am. He weighed 8lbs 12oz, and has now already almost doubled his birth weight! I would have started again earlier, but my shop got some water damage when we had that huge downpour a while back! I'd love to say it is all fixed up and ready to go again, but we have been having a hard time with the workers fixing it... Hopefully in the next couple of weeks or so everything will be fixed up, and back in its place! I will keep you posted on when I am up for business again :) I hope everyone has been having a great summer!
