Thanks so much to @ontariovisited for creating this lovely slideshow of our buildings and attractions. Since we can't be together in person at this time, we hope this video sparks excitement for when we can open safety. We are hoping for June 1, 2021 pending restrictions and safety at that time. See you soon! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5t4uqtVPss&t=13s

Some amazing good news stories have come our way regarding the Festival of Trees! The photo below is a large tree, that Brian Maunder of Race Toyota won the bid on in the Online Auction. Rather than keeping it, he decided to donate it to the Durham Cafe to have on display in their restaurant. Many restaurants have faced a devastating year due to the current pandemic. So be sure to head over for a delicious meal, and to admire this beautiful tree! Another couple had the winn...ing bid on 11 items in the auction which they are giving to groups like the Girl Guides and others struggling so they can auction them off to raise money. Yet another couple won the "Soup for Year" basket and are going to make soup and give to people who may need it. Keep the good news coming!
Thanks so much to the Kinette Club of Bobcaygeon for volunteering and bringing the Shriners train to our event!

TONIGHT'S DRIVE THROUGH IS CANCELLED Note: we have reached out to all attendees via email, but wanting to ensure we reach everyone as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast we are going to cancel tonight's event. With the potential for a lot of rain and high winds, it is creating a scenario that is dangerous for attendees, volunteers, and staff on site. Visibility when driving through the Village at night is of utmost importance, and the potential... for decorations to be blown around is just not ideal. With that said, we are going to ensure that everyone who had a ticket for this evening can either: 1. Receive a Refund 2. Be rescheduled for one of the remaining evenings The potential nights you can reschedule for are: Nov 19: Between 5pm - 9pm Nov. 20: Between 5pm - 9pm Nov 21: Between 5pm - 9pm We will do our best to accommodate, but can only fit so many into the pre-existing slots. We opened up 5-6pm to try and spread out the rescheduled cars. Please email: [email protected] to reschedule We do apologize as we know many of you are looking forward to attending tonight. Sincerely, The Festival of Trees Committee

Spotted this amazing round bale art at the site of Fairbairn Church, on Fairbairn Road. This depiction of the church is so well done. A Methodist church built in 1885. In 1960 it was sold to a local farmer who used it as a barn and chicken coop. In 1996 it was donated to the Village and restored as close as possible, to its original simple beauty. Fairbairn Church can be rented for weddings or services.
We are still open daily from 10am - 4pm until September 30th. Come by before the season ends, and step back into history.
